Bracket racing for the drag day....thoughts?
Hello everyone. Now that we have a location selected, I thought I'd bring up the idea of having a bracket run group at the dragway. I recently did a charity event @ Maple Grove Raceway and had a really good time.

As many of you know, my roots are more on the road racing side of our group and my car is really geared more in that direction...ie it's not that fast in the 1/4. I think bracket racing may be a good way to get more participation and have some of the folks new to the drags get competitive with it without having really change their cars. We could maybe even have a trophy to go to the winner.

I'm not sure what it would take to get the track to do this for us, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I guess we'd need a lane and have someone in the tower put the car numbers and dial in #'s in the computer?

Thoughts?

This could be a lot of fun. Also it won't segregate the fast cars and the slow cars.

I like this idea. @hammerin hank I would be glad to give you the track manager name and phone number if you would be willing to set this up

Sure, PM me the info. I'll call him and see if they'd be willing to do it.
