Howdy all. This is what I see as keys for sucess in 2013:
1. Arrive and drive. pay at the gate for road course
2. Located somewhere in the green part of Chris's map.
3. Drag track within a 2 hour ride of the hotel (arrive and drive, pay at the gate).
4. A hotel that is not going to harrass us about large groups in the parking lot or lobby.
5. Basic needs (gas, food, shopping) and fun places (bars, free day attractions) close to the hotel.
6. A picnic facility within 1 hour drive of hotel (a place that's not going to bust balls about loud cars and such). It really should have a covered pavilion, as well as, rest room facilities.
7. Get the word out early. Market it on the forum. Get some of the new folks involved.
8. And most importantly, get the right people to organize it. Bust the tasks up in to smaller tasks. Have work assignments for people at the convention to take some of the load off the Convention Chair(s).
