I tweaked the map a little by adding 1,000 mile circles which is the absolute limit we should plan on for the majority of atendees. Even though there are some hardcore folks who'll make the long trip, 800 miles is about the realistic one-day limit for most, and it's the difference between two and four days of travelling on top of the convention.

800 miles = 14 hours @ 60mph average
1000 miles = 17 hours @ 60mph average

Add another hour or two in for convoy meet-ups, gas & food stops.

You are a Google Maps God Chris.

I think 800 miles is the hardcore limit. 1000 is just plain crazy.

BTW, I talked to Kerrie at Nelson. We had 30 participants.

Do I even need to answer that? ;-)

I don't even want to know what a 1200 mile destination would cost me towing. Cleveland was 450 miles and cost me $400 in fuel with me logging nearly 1200 actual miles. That's about where I draw the line.

Why do I seem to recall that there were more than 30 participants? I could SWEAR there were at least 35~38 cars total???
