i just got off the phone with courtesy nissan parts in texas and they were dicking me around.

i called asking if they carried a part and immediately they asked for a part number. not having it, i said i would find it and call back... first off, aren't they supposed to be able to search for a part number? this doesnt really upset me because i know they have other stuff they could be doing and they might be really busy at the moment.

then i found the part number and called back and gave a different guy the part number. he said sorry we dont have it and there was long pause after. then he told me the part doesnt exist. so i asked him if it would be possible to do a search by the part name and he said no. then i asked if there was any possible way if i could find the correct part and part number and i was once again told no, it's impossible....

tell me if i'm wrong but that doesn't seem like very good customer service.

oh and in addition, the part number i used was from THEIR website:

That is some sh!tty customer service. Did you tell them that it was their part # from their site and if they dont have them anymore then their site should reflect that?

You should have asked to have the call escalated to the parts manager. I can't explain it. Sounds like bad business.

i did. he said his manager was standing right next to him and said the same thing.

Response: "OK so put him on the phone so he can explain to me what is up with your website and why you have changed the parts policy of the last decade..."

Every once in awhile you get an asshat. That would piss me off too. Call Greg.
