Updated 05/09/16

I'm re-breaking issues and fixes down, so that both Jamie and I can get a handle on what needs to be done, what could be done, what issues are operation critical, and which are aesthetic.

Jamie can then commit to what he deems appropriate, I'll handle the rest.

Prior To Jamie's Arrival Updated 05/09/16

1. AC fixed. Including: new compressor, expansion valve, drier, belt. Cannot tune with no AC. Done.

2. Replacement Spal AC fan installed with sticky-back, high-heat, reflective material on the back cover. Done.

3. OEM CV axle boot. Done.

4. Temp Sender to VDO gauge replaced with correct unit. Done.

5. Small bracket fabricated to hold AC low pressure line in place and safely away from the turbo/exhaust. Body shop. Done.

6. Cover AC line with hi-temp heat reflective protection. Done.

6. Turbo blanket installed. Thermo-Tec, made in the USA. 'Merica. Did not work. No longer necessary.

7. Wrap J-pipe and downpipe. Thermo-Tec 1" wrap and spray goop. SS cable ties. Done.

8. Bang out oil pan, change oil. Oil/filter/drain-plug crush washer/grey gasket maker all in my shop. Arrived, not critical. Oil change done.

9. OEM GTiR manifold heat shield in my shed. Cleanup and hi-temp coat, then install. Done..

Jamie On Site.

1. Tune the car. Fix whatever is wrong with the ECU/tune/Nismotronic. This is mission critical.

2. PCV system installed. I'm just gonna drive the car home from the (AC, etc...) body-shop and park it in my work-shop till Jamie arrives.

3. Hose pushing on lower IC piping getting bent too far/collapsing. I *think* that upper hose passenger side is OK and does not appear like it will collapse. Done.

4. Coupler on intake, get the correct 2.5-3" (2.5-2.75"?), 3" long, black Vibrant coupler.

5. Remove extraneous hose(s) in bay.

6. Remove horn/wire (entire alarm?) from car.

7. Battery tie down with correct length clamping posts. Done.

8. Bolts aimed at radiator to be trimmed. Radiator moved for clearance. Done.

9. Block off plate for crank angle sensor hole.

10. Down pipe replacement.

I *think* the following are all Aesthetics.

1. Radiator hoses to black, OEM rubber, with t-bolt clamps. Done.

2. Trim extraneous tab off Forge brake fluid catch tank. Possibly have body shop (AC guys) trim and polish appropriately. Skip for now.

3. Cusco strut bar to be sold. Stillen FSTB purchased. Swap them. Skip for now, need 3/8" spacers.

4. Radiator brackets removed, treated for rust, cleaned up, painted black. Or simply replaced. Skip for now, custom work done to move radiator.

5. Brass plumbing (Turbonetics my ass) fittings. They are unanimously considered both cheap and ugly, but we determined they are functionally OK, correct? Skip.

6. Forge wastegate. Skip.

The correct size to connect to the throttle body is 2.75". Assuming you have 2.5" charge pipes, then you want the size bolded above.

Forge Motorsports ($$$). PS and the rad overflow.

The irony is that I have a matching Forge oil catch can that I shipped to Marsh/Morfius and it was returned to me un-used and uninstalled. Fucking brilliant.

At least you got the parts you paid for. Stay well, Shawn.

Here's the rundown after my discussions via FB with Jamie.

Jamie's employer went bankrupt and then got bought out.

New Owner is doubling capacity, Jamie will not receive any time-off until their slow months, starting in October. Six months from now.

A weekend is not enough time to insure a complete fix. Too much on the list for a 72 hour window. Jamie requires a 4-6 day window to do it right.

Mark is no longer in the shop or associated with Jamie's business.

With a Go-Pro, lap-top and more technical skill that I possess, a "remote tuning" as a temporary-fix is possible. However that does not account for a PCV system.

I read Ben's write-up on PCV systems, they ain't optional. Blow-by, detonation and other ugliness can occur.

Jamie was, as usual, open, honest and forthright.

I have my car back in my shop. On a battery tender.

I'll drive it gently down to the Post Office (3 miles) and back once a week.

Jamie and I will talk in October.

Also....and this is important.

I am very susceptible to heat right now. The heart attack and subsequent medications have left me unable to tolerate extremes of temperature.

I am indoors between noon and 6 pm, like right now, for a reason.

My very nice shop here in Louisiana does not have the luxury of air-conditioning.

I would be unable to assist Jamie....until fall.

That is not only awkward, it is unacceptable to me.
