Maybe they could repay you by helping clean and clear some of the area...then again they'd probably leave the mower decks on high and leave the heavy stuff lay out LOL

What a cluster fuck of irresponsibility. I'm surprised no one has asked what marks stake in this whole ordeal was? He didn't wrench nor tune the vehicle. Why did he even need to exist in this situation ?

I can't be the only one to know about marks past.....and obviously present behavior.....

Inevitable when those on the other side of the story seemingly can't be fucked to explain their side and have been given ample opportunity.
@marksr20 where the fuck are you?
@SR20GTi-R this is one time where being coy and limiting communication is hurting you badly.
Too bad, so sad.

On top of that, it is hard to imagine any legitimate excuse that could possibly explain how 5 1/2 months of lead time and sufficient funds could produce such a disaster of a work fulfillment. What viable excuse could your shop have for this? And then, what defense could you have for how Shawn has been treated after the fact by your shop and those you farmed the work out to?

Ben, I'm trying my hardest not to tell you to eat a dick.

1. I'm not here building defenses.
2. I don't have a need to, at all for anyone but myself.
3.There is more than one party involved.
4.The building/shop, however you want to specify it, houses more than one business.
5.One business supplied parts, the other labor.
6.Both of which I am wrapping my brain around while figuring out what Shawn wants/needs.

For the sake of this discussion, please refrain from posting anything here.

Then they wouldn't tell me and they'd leave a bent blade and a flat front tire for me to discover next time.

If either one of them had a single ounce of self-respect and a shred of integrity they would pay all of Jamie's expenses.

Jamie, you have two issues IMO.
1) Your issue with Shawn
2) Your PR nightmare (resulting from the poor handling of #1)

You seem to be handling issue #1 with some poise as best I can tell, but still seriously lacking as fixing the tune/ECU only solves one of many problems caused by Marsh Tuning.
You are royally fucking up issue #2 (although not nearly as badly as Mark obviously). That's your decision. Part of what you're doing to fuck this up is failing to get the other half of Marsh Tuning on the same page and admit as a company that things are fucked. You're failing to take full ownership of this by passing the buck left and right (even though many of your words claim otherwise).

If I were you and I cared one ounce about my reputation, I would get Mark in line and on the same page. I would be offering a 50% refund of labor at the minimum, no questions asked. If that means suing Justin, that's your problem, not Shawn's. I would be on both issues like white on rice. If I gave a shit about charging to work on another car ever again.

That's your problem, not Shawn's. You're continually giving Shawn the shaft (at least you're lubing it up, unlike Mark) by trying to make it seem like he was not working with MARSH TUNING and instead was working with Justin, Mark, and you seperately. That's total, and complete bullshit.

Again, your problem, not Shawn's. It seems to me as far as Shawn was concerned he was dealing with MARSH TUNING. Get your fucking house in order man. Holy fucking shit! The blatantly obvious cockroach scatter that is going on right now is despicable. And you have the gall to say you're not here building defenses. You sure are, just all the wrong ones.

If you want to play this like a personal issue between you and Shawn, that is fine. Just don't come here and whine about you having a public relations disaster when the reason for that is completely on you, Mark, and collectively Marsh Tuning. You're like a child crying that his hand is burning, but you refuse to take it out of the frying pan.

Telling me to stay out of it is just another amateur PR mistake. It's time to put your big boy pants on and quit fucking this up (make Shawn whole as a part owner of Marsh Tuning, not just fix the tune/ECU) and quit complaining that you're fucking it up (unless you enjoy looking like a petulant child) by insisting on maintaining your coyer-than-thou attitude.

Ben, I appreciate you buddy.

Jamie has not offered any excuse nor defenses. None.

What he has done is apologize, empathize, communicate with the client in and open and honest manner, and ultimately offer to fly to Louisiana to make this right.

Obviously, he has some uncomfortable work to do on the home front with his business partners and their working agreements and communication. I know he is already painfully aware of this.

Now, if you want to righteously chew some ass, hopefully Mark or Justin will at some point show their faces. By all means, I'd appreciate it if you give them both barrels.

Shawn and Jaimie have figured out what to do from this point forward. If Shawn trusts Jaimie to fix whatever issues that still need to be addressed and Jaimie is taking the time to fly down to do it that to me says enough. Never met you Jaimie but you could definitely wrench on my ride anytime. Class act to step up to the plate to satisfy a class act customer like Shawn. As this thread progresses on I'm finding out who the real people are who want a positive outcome to this and the ones who feel the need to criticize the only person who has gone all in to make things right. Jaimie, hope you're still around after the smoke clears.

You are something special.

Let me make this clear. REPUTATION is the last fucking thing I care about, especially from individuals like yourself.

My anger comes from a business transaction amoung FRIENDS that went south. Not a fucking dollar.

NO money comes to me from this forum. I don't sell parts for profit, I don't make/develop anything on here anymore for plenty of reasons. 90% of my SR20 interactions come from guys I talk to daily, Rob, Fiz, Miko, Aaron etc (the entire GroupMe crew). All of which KNOW what is what. Nothing that comes out of this effects ANYTHING that I do.

My big boy pants have been on. Do not EVER in your life give me a speech on what I should and should not do amoung my friends. You will find yourself in a real fucked up position real quick Mr. Fenner.
