While Mark makes excuses, Jamie makes travel plans.

Jamie Marsh texted me this evening. Once I make a bit more progress with my AC compressor, he wants to fly down to Louisiana and get my car sorted out.

I'm proud to call him my friend.

SR20gtir-
Brainless response???
Tell me where I am wrong, I never said a word about you personally, so don't make it personal, my point Shawn got screwed, the quality of work I see in the pictures, whoever done it, has no business charging anyone as a so called mechanic!
Shotty, crappy work, and on a budget that hardly anyone with a b13 will ever spend!

We all make mistakes, if u are flying down to help Shawn that's the right thing to do!
My only question is??
Why isn't the man that collected the money and done the work flying down?

Hope everything is resolved just for relations sake. A lot of $$ on the line.

What upsets me is the fine details that are overlooked. Most of which do not need to be shared on the forum. I'm just upset that comments are made without knowing the ENTIRE story. No one knows how schedules were set up, what the "shop" consists of or when and how I spend my time there. Any one that knows me knows pre-convention time is a very busy time. The deal was set up for Justin to do the work so I felt no need to baby sit his work. The man has turned some nice cars out of his bay. Without talking to Shawn (for months) I did not know of any budgets or what was expected/not expected.

Yes I did not do the work or collect the money, but Shawn is not some random guy off the street. Even if he was 98% happy with the car, I would still fly down to help him get to 100% because I know how he feels about this car.

Both sides are fired up and have their reasons/arguments but in the end, the car is what we are validating here, not who is right/wrong based on negotiations, how much it should have cost etc.

This is great to read. As we said, I can only hope he distances himself from the other two cronies, as they should not be allowed or represent Jaime's last name in any regard after seeing this.

Jamie, you really come off as a stand up guy from reading these responses.

It's good to see you commit your time and efforts to see this finished albeit your only piece in this was to tune the car..

Inevitable when those on the other side of the story seemingly can't be fucked to explain their side and have been given ample opportunity.
@marksr20 where the fuck are you?
@SR20GTi-R this is one time where being coy and limiting communication is hurting you badly.
Too bad, so sad.

On top of that, it is hard to imagine any legitimate excuse that could possibly explain how 5 1/2 months of lead time and sufficient funds could produce such a disaster of a work fulfillment. What viable excuse could your shop have for this? And then, what defense could you have for how Shawn has been treated after the fact by your shop and those you farmed the work out to?

The lack of a real response is what has me baffled. Why does it need to be secret squirrel? Why can't it be public? I know I run my online stuff as transparent as possible....what I'd love to see is other examples of 'work' from the shop to compare....

To clarify, once I got Jamie's full attention with my Angry Email on Sept 6th he has been nothing but straight-forward, honest, transparent and fair. He and I have phoned, texted or emailed near daily.

Because Jamie is always welcome as a guest on my farm. I will also happily allow him to wrench on my car.

The man that collected the money and the one that did the work are flat-out not welcome.
