@mirrortints: Understood. My questions are still viable questions however. The vehicle was clearly unprepared for tuning, so at that point, why proceed? And for a business owner to have no idea on the day to day occurrences and operations is not a very good business practice and this thread is exemplar in bringing this point to the forefront.

I am not here to attack anyone, just playing devil's advocate.

@SR20GTi-R: Understood. However, you end up with the mess we are seeing slowly unfolding before mine and the communities eyes . I am just sorry to see it come to this. Situations like these is what drives a wedge between the community members.

That is all I have on this topic. It would be nice for Mark and company to share their side of the story. However, this is not the first time I am hearing of Marsh tuning having issues with well established community members.

I'm sure people have personal experiences, one being Keo. Him and I have had transactions/trades/barters go south because of change of plans on his end or lack of feedback on my end.

People get side tracked/busy but is no excuse. Transaction is a transaction regardless of how small.

Again that's a personal transaction/trade off , with Jamie Marsh, not a business transaction with a paying customer like this transaction.

Keo and I were just chatting in the shout box.

Shawn I am sorry I haven't gotten a chance to call you and clear the air but just to clarify a few things... I have no money or actual ownership in Marsh Tuning, both Mark and Jamie will attest to that. I have volunteered time there to work on various projects because it is fun to spend time wrenching with some friends. I have donated a few parts here and there to certain builds because I have them, and I have given various bits of business advice, some has been followed, some has not. That is the extent of my business relationship with Marsh Tuning. My friendship with the members involved has nothing to do with this conversation.

I am distancing myself from this build because I had no involvement at all with it until the day both you and I arrived in CT before the convention. I knew nothing about the state the car was in until you did. I also volunteered much of my free time at the convention to try to figure out what was not right with your car. I said that I would QC the car for you as a concerned friend, not as some half assed partner with skin in the game (as I literally have none). I regret that family and work obligations kept me from getting back out to CT to do that for you before I had to leave for another semester on the road. I live at least four hours away from the shop each way and unfortunately it was not feasible for me as the summer drew to a close. I apologize for that. As I type this I am actually in the middle of another 70hour work week in MO.

When our paths cross again I'll be more than happy to help you work on the car, not as a hired gun but because I'd do it for anyone.

There are always two sides to every story. I hope both sides come out in full. I also hope both both parties can get this resolved.

Wow. I was wondering when a forum post would be made. About time Shawn... you've been more then patient.

By the looks of it... it was a half assed job. By the sound of it... they dont care to fix it. For 9k Id expect to have my car looking 10 times better then that.

Goodluck with the process. Someone from Marsh better step up...big

the pcv, ac wiring, TB coupler, heater core hose, and fuse box are the only semi legitimate complaints i see which are all morfius issues and have nothing to do with marsh tuning. the rest are things that took you longer to type then it would to correct and imo you are at the point your just nit picking now. you supplied the water temp parts to them then complain they're wrong? when jaimie tunes the car he has the water temp thru the ecu on the laptop he isn't going to look at that stupid ass gauge. did you really post a picture of a scratched oil pan on a used motor that was shipped THOUSANDS of miles as a complaint? this has got to be a bad episode of punk'd. you have a turbo car built that you expect performance out of but ask for oem or better? you get to a point where you pick performance or stock and being that you sent the car to a performance based shop that is what you got. if you wanted stock why didn't you have Nissan put a de back in the car and recharge your precious ac?

now to address your tuning.in VA the only thing you praised was how well the car was tuned and how it drove. if i remember correct you said it was so great you have to "tune your foot to learn how to drive it now". So if you all of a sudden are having some type of issue you might want to contact nismotronic cause i have yet to see a car run on that computer.

you are quoting and addressing some "OG's" like Mark S who built a motor and didn't know you had to gap the piston rings? come on man you think because guys are old or post count is high that they have credibility? not one guy mentioned in your posts could out build or out tune Jaimie. And I'm pretty sure the last few conventions have shown that without doubt.

The point is, Jamie didn't build the car, Justin whoever did and half assed a lot of things. Shawn admits to anyone who asks that he is not mechanically inclined, hence his willingness to ship his baby across the country and then pay a hefty price for it to be built. Sadly, his (Jamie's) name is associated with this travesty.

Jamie's work in tuning is exemplary and in almost every instance above reproach. This was not one of those instances. I am inspired to hear that he is helping to rectify the situation.

I could vouch for Jamie and justin, cause I was there during the build. And when Shawn B came down to the shop,he was telling all of us how great the car came out.And after the tune he was all smiles.Only issue the car had was the AC not working. But other than that,He was happy.Car drove from CT. To VA. No problem and back.My boy justin does great work. Most I could say is ShawnB should call him as a man and not bash him on the forums. And put all this to an end. Heres his number again call him (203)641-8859
