Come hell or high water, I know you will make your sentra into the dream car you've been wishing for.

He's not wrong, it's very common in Subaru world to use zipties on vacuum lines, as far as I remember even major vendors like Cobb suggest it too, lots of kits come with zipties too. The reason for this is, Subaru switched to plastic manifold and didn't barb the vacuum connections. It's not uncommon for them to blow off in boost. Even the metal FPR doesn't have a barb (just like our na or boosted SR20's though).

Finding the right couplers is very hard since lines vary in side, using warm clamps is a way to go but can damage the hoses, thus zip ties are used a lot.

Vadim, please read my reply. High quality builds with a seemingly unlimited budget need to achieve a certain standard. I have seen builds from local shops and have seen and participated in builds where budget was seemingly unlimited, and zip ties are used frugally at best in the later.

You have missed my point by about 20 miles . To use zip ties to secure, tie down, attach, etc a majority of the item is a simple, low cost and sub standard way of achieving the end goal.

This is NOT what this build is.

P.s I use zip ties on the PDX/TRACK DAY car. The no budget build we have uses custom sized AN lines for any fluids/ hydraulics and push lock vacuum lined for lines carrying air. AN lines are also use prodigiously through the race car as well

Pss Because Subaru uses sub standard parts it exposes sub standard practices. Shame on scooby for using such parts and is not an excuse to continue the train of thought.
