I'm also curious to know if he posted the physical description on the engine he just sold as I now know all the problems he had with it after reading his threads and the numerous times the engine has been disassembled?? that might be a future kick in the ass again for him..

To me, yes. You have to accept SOME responsibility in this for assuming it would be in the condition you had in your head. You didn't ask questions for whatever reason and did not COVER YOUR ASS. The whole community is watching, do you really think he'll stiff you? Man up, accept the fact that you should have asked questions and take the refund under his conditions.

no doubt in my mind now, knowing that he ripped me off from day one... you could keep arguing your point and defending your buddy, your opinion doesn't make any difference to me and doesn't change his actions..he clearly knows what he did...

I think that the whole world should conduct themselves the way I am when they get ripped off.... especially when the item wasn't as described and the seller clearly knew, but he left that information out..

Then someone has been serious fucked by UPS. I forget who actually filed the claim, but whoever it was, the verdict was the claim was denied due to improper packing, right? The UPS store packed it? Then why are we here talking? Why aren't the two of you working on UPS to get their heads out of their asses and cover the damage?

Why aren't we reading a thread about how much UPS sucks right now instead of this one?

This is an open and shut case.

That is not true. The post clearly said local pick up preferred, that way a buyer could see it first before purchasing, and said it had some minor dings and dents. The whole transaction was to be handled by OP, not me. He wouldn't make the thread himself.

That's crap and you know it. First of all you posted an item for someone else, that's against forum rules. Second of all you did not disclose with a picture of the damage even after the shipping incident. Third, you were the primary contact, its your email address and you were offering shipping. Wrong across the board.

This is still not clear.

You bought the box from them.
You left with the box & header.
You returned with the box & header.

Nothing is mentioned about packing material.

If the in-transit damage is substantial, and was related to packaging, WHO is responsible? WHO packaged it.

The way I read it, you bought an empty box from the UPS store, packed it yourself, and then returned to the store with a sealed box, and shipped it.

sounds like Jordan needs to take initiative as the seller and the shipper and argue that Point if in fact that even took place... I just find it hard to believe that a UPS center would ship it like that... it's possible but not likely...
