You don't know SE-RMonkey, but as long as I have he has always been at least 2 things: 1) Logical and 2) Fair. He is a level headed guy and didn't miss the point of anything. The situation with UPS sucks I agree, and I am sorry that it happened, but I don't work for them and I didn't throw the thing down the steps or whatever they did to it. The photo you sent me of the box clearly showed it was beat to hell, but it was in perfect condition purchased at the UPS store when it left, it was brand new.

I cannot find whatever thread I had my old weapon R header for sale. I had a ding on mine from low-life problems and I was holding on to the header for a while. Someone wanted one and I eventually sold it but I disclosed all of that, and took photos of the ding. The buyer did not care so I packaged it up nicely and sent it away. The buyer was happy since it arrived safe and sound. 99% of the time whenever folks have dings on the header, they disclose that information. Sadly, I cannot find that thread on either forum if one even exists.

Now, I know from following the thread of Jordans what has happened. A lot of folks have followed his threads for a plethora of reasons. I am sure somewhere along the line that stupid fucking phrase 'caveat emptor' will be thrown around. Well, that takes second place to a seller being ignorant and not disclosing such information. I also know that a "fire sale" happened in the case of Jordan because his "significant other" was being rather bitchy about his B13 and associated parts for whatever reason. Once Jordan had the tow truck incident on his car, it really seemed like he was done with the car.

I cannot blame the seller since look at the still prevalent rash of shitty transactions that have happened in 2014 so far..... the list is not getting smaller nor is it exponentially growing larger. Shitty transactions happen and that saddens me a bit on the inside because I like to think this place is better than that. If you or anyone you know has been ripped off, it fucking sucks. I was taken for $600 off an engine I was told was good, trusted the seller, and when I removed the valve cover, I had a bunch of surprises, and even more when I removed the cylinder head..... I still need another slotted shim to fix that cylinder head.

Looking at both sides of this from what I have little to no interest in besides both parties having a good end result, both of these guys don't want to play nicely with each other so this is where we are at now. Two fellas don't want to play right now.

As far as packaging goes, you all should know damn good and well that shipping companies don't give one shit about what is inside. Protect all of the things you send with some form of shipping protection. And not insurance, I mean air saver, styrofoam, paper, anything to cushion the stuff being shipped inside. I had to send another header to Kentucky @nsusammyeb for him to help me fix and I packed that thing like it was going to the moon! Not having any packing material in there is no bueno for both parties and one party is at fault for that.

I don't annoy or harass people when I buy stuff, and I also do not punish people who annoy me or harass me..... something else to keep in mind for everyone out there reading. (because it looks like this two way street is full of traffic today)

Shipping is the sellers responsibility. If you let someone ship it for you, it doesn't matter IMO. The buyer assumes responsibility once they receive the product. So, if UPS wrapped it in foil and shipped it, it's the sellers responsibility.

And if issues weren't disclosed and the buyer needs to research to find out the issues with the product...sellers responsibility.

Nobody can come on here and say, "you didn't see my other 5 posts of issues with my part? That's your problem" (buyer).

Sorry bro, it's my opinion that you're out of line even posting this thread. You said that you assumed it was in good condition, you didn't ask about the condition it was in, then when it showed up NOT in the condition you THOUGHT it MIGHT or SHOULD be in you were disappointed. That's called buyers remorse, get over it.

The other thread you saw was however for the same item, and I did close that today when I saw this thread. When he was flipping out one day at me I said "why don't you just list it for sale for what you paid for it if you don't want it? I'm sure someone else would want it." He said maybe but insisted I make the post for him so I did it so he'd (hopefully) leave me in peace for a single day, and I relayed any of information from interested people to him. So I did NOT edit the original thread today at all.

You are correct, the original thread posted on 8/12 was not edited, the second post, (the one that goes against forum rules for multiple posts of the same thing) is the one edited.

However, this post, you edited today after you saw this thread.... http://www.sr20-forum.com/vvl/74374-s-alive-but-fml-once-again-absolutely-ridiculous-what-i-found-2.html#post985922

Once again, I am not for or against either party but merely trying to pool more information together. I think this may be a waste of my own time but my goals are simply to help collate all information to one thread to help both parties achieve a positive resolution.

I recently got some tail lights from what i thought was a reputable seller on G20.net from Spain (wana talk about distant shipping) and he put 5 pieces of newspaper inside the box with metal emblems bouncing around, lights rubbing against each other...some of the most negligent packaging i've ever seen. Also showed a picture claiming the tails where in great condition. One of them ended up with bad scratched and cracks. Best believe thats his fault for poor shipping. There will be a thread soon on every SR20 related forum after I give him ample time to remedy it, but the point is, the seller is always responsible for packing properly but the buyer is also responsible for knowing what they are buying. People are busy, people own things they get used to the flaws and forget to mention them. You should do your due diligence and make sure you know what you are getting, even if that means becoming a little annoying at asking for pictures from all angles or something. Never assume any product USED is without flaw.

I honestly havent looked over the original FS ad, so I dunno if he didnt mention them, would be pretty hard to miss on something like that, but i just mean in general, dont assume. For a better example if you were buying a car...my cruise control doesnt work, but i NEVER use it, so i know thats something i would forget to mention....you know what i saying.

91sentragti-r, takes some pics of the header and damages so people know what you are talking about.

I also find it disingenuous of Storm to post only the pic of the primaries, when most of the damages are on the secondaries. Editing the http://www.sr20-forum.com/vvl/74374-s-alive-but-fml-once-again-absolutely-ridiculous-what-i-found-2.html#post985922 post does not help either.
