Initial Question: Does a 1Z format tracking number ever have more then the one alpha character in it?
James T.: Hi, this is James T.. I'll be happy to assist you.
Aaron: thanks
James T.: They may.
Aaron: ok. Its not tracking is the reason I ask.
Aaron: supposedly sent over two weeks ago.
Aaron: can I give you the tracking number and you magically find my package? maybe with additional information?
James T.: Yes, if you have a tracking number I may be able to look it up for you.
Aaron: 1Z5AR1380349923550
James T.: The layout of the tracking number would be correct, however it appears as though the number you have received is invalid.
Aaron: is there any other way besides electronically trying to track using the number with additional information, like where it was sent from, or where it was supposed to be shipped to?
Aaron: or full names, or anything of the sort
James T.: Are you the shipper of the package?
Aaron: no sir
James T.: Then there would not be any further searches available. I would urge you to contact the shipper of the item for the correct tracking number.
Aaron: what if i have his name and address
James T.: Names and addresses are not searchable fields in my system.
Aaron: or you just cant give the receiver any info about the shippers packages
Aaron: what is?
Aaron: just tracking numbers
Aaron: so i know what toask for
James T.: Tracking number, Reference number, and Shipper Number.
Aaron: would an actual phone call to customer service yield me any additional help?
Aaron: eg- do they have more search feilds then you do.
Aaron: fields
James T.: They do have the same options as I do. If the shipper was to contact us we can use their account number and the date it would have been shipped to search but that would be the only other extent we have.
