J-K-Tuning
Finally got around to taking a run up to JK Tuning in Carlisle, to have the tune on my 91 SER checked out.
A little history: Car has 260k on the motor. All the normal bolt-ons. No real problems, other than my mileage had dropped off a bit and I suspected the car was running rich in some areas.
John, put a daughter board in an extra stock ECU I had, but got a base line on the car, before re-mapping it. It was in fact rich in parts, but after 4-5 dyno pulls, he cleaned it up nice.
Really wasn't expecting him to find anymore power, but in fact, when he was finished, he had me making more power right off of throttle all the way up to 7000RPMs, where I had an extra 10 ponies.
Best of all....on my highway trip up to his place, I averaged 30mpg. On the way back home 35+mpg.
The guy knows these cars well, and I recommend him highly. Thanks again JK Tuning for a pro tune
