When I sell something for a low price, it's because I need money from someone who can pay right away, or sometimes because I don't want to take the time and trouble to get the best price.

When I buy something at a low price, I figure the seller has the same type of reasons.
Honest people are the last ones who expect to be cheated. Why even do business with someone if you're thinking " this is probably a scam, hope my money isn't wasted".

i understand 100% what your saying. i also am the same way, if im selling something for cheap its because i wanna get rid of the part fast for whatever reason.

in the future try to deal with more well known members, people who have been around for a long time.

i hope this can be resolved for your sake.

my apologies for mucking up your thread. i clearly dont approve of people turning off members from our community. if every member was treated in that manner we wouldnt have a community left. ive been in the sr20 scene for nearly ten years and have met some really great people. just have to search a lil bit to find them.

stratton.

Just to be clear, this isn't my thread. It's Wolf SER's thread.

I only commented because any hint of condoning this type of theft can slowly strangle the forum.
What primarily led me to post was the notion that, if you get ripped off because you got a good price or trusted a forum member, you're just getting what you deserve.

A good price is NEVER an excuse to rip someone off.

The seller has the responsibility to fully disclose all pertinent facts about the item.
The buyer has the right to receive the item in the condition the seller described.

One thing all these thieves have in common is they always "justify" their actions.
"I've been out of work and didn't have the money to pay for shipping"
"I was selling it for a friend who took the money and didn't give me the item"
" I didn't know it was bad, but you bought it so it's yours now."

I'm sick of it. They come up with enough excuses on their own. We don't need someone with the same mentality to add the "but you got a good price" excuse for them.

Bravo bravo!!! 100% agree with this.

Kevin has NOT answered any email or PM so far.

Can anyone try to give him a call or find out where he works? I really want him to help me with this. I am in debt now as I used my cc to pay for repairs of engine.

Later today I will update the status of my car

Again thank you

I sympathize with your situation in that you got scammed but again. If I was buying an sr20det and the dude wanted 500 bucks for it, then I would assume that it was jacked or something was wrong with it?

Did you honestly think you were getting a 150 psi compression tested motor across the board for 500 bucks? Did you not have your doubts about this transaction before you did it?

Also, you do realize that you can get paypal involved and even sue the guy in your local small claims district court right? Costs like 25 bucks depending on the court. I just think if a deal sounds too good to be true then it usually is, all I was saying.

You live and learn though sometimes and as long as you learn from the mistake then the less likely you will be to make it again.

Machine shop guy arrived friday evening to hone walls of my engine. With his experience and tools 20 minutes was all it took for him to do them

Final Result

Cylinder #4 (no harm)

Cylinder #2 (broken piston)

Per machine shop guy the small black lines that are still seen are do not affect rings correct sealing.
