I dunno if this is the right section or not.

I ordered StopTech Premium rotors (Part # 120.42054) for the rear of my car. I was sent Centric C-Tek rotors (Part # 121.42054).

I asked him why was I sent these when I wanted the ones with the e-coating. I wanted the premium rotors, not standard OEM replacement. I wanted the StopTech branded product, not Centric.

Well, long story short. They will not do a refund at all. I can exchange them but they do not have anything that I want. On top of it, they want to charge me 25% for a restocking fee yet these have not even left the plastic bag that they came in.

Basically, f*ck this place of business for screwing me.

The right thing to do would be to notify the customer that the product you ordered was changed and it will be a cheaper version.

I was sent these, as you can see, no e-coating.

That sucks man. I'm always leery of sites running RPMware.

This means the storefront owner likely has nothing at all physically in stock, and really doesn't have a clue about inventory/availability of the parts listed on their own site. They simply rely on RPMware's dropship warehouses to ship the right thing.

What's the price difference? I would go straight to management for that.

AMazon.com lists the rotors I got for 10 bucks a piece. I paid 32 bucks a rotor.

Hello,

I am Toby Bradhurst, owner of TMMotorsports.net. Just wanted to clear up this issue with viperdude. And let the rest of you know my side of the story.
Yes it is true that the part # he ordered (120.42054) we didnt have in stock. So we drop shipped from StopTech. StopTech automatically changed them to the superseded part number (121.42054), processed and completed the order. I was not told about this until viperdude emailed me about this issue.
However, I told him he may return his order if he wished.
This is the disclaimer on our check out paige that states:

"All sales are final unless item(s) are defective upon delivery. Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs for returns. If the product is on back order or is discontinued, we will notify you within 48 hours.

Out of stock items:
We currently do not have live inventory reporting available. Any order that has been placed with an out of stock item will be placed on back order. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, this may cause a delay. TMMotorsports.net makes every effort possible to notify the customer of any delays and unexpected future delays.
Unreasonable delays are subject to refund or return. Unreasonable delays will be decided at the discretion of management.

By placing an order, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions"

Our polices are our polices. They are there to protect us, as well as be fair to all customers.

Also, RPMware doesnt have warehouses. They simply run and maintain an online catalog. Which for me when I carry close 200 manufactures, and 1,000's of parts, makes my life easier. Plus there are hundreds of large companies who also use RPMware.
I have never once told Viperdude that he cannot return his order. I have told him several times that I apologize for this issue and am willing to help him. But when he placed his order, he did agree to the terms and conditions.

Also viper dude, didnt get a cheaper/less quality version...Centric, which is the manufacturer for StopTech and Power Slot, made the rotors...only difference is the actual name. They all go through the same production process. And are held to the same Quality Standards. If any of you dont believe me..feel free to contact StopTech or Centric for yourself. Just like I did when I went through this process trying to rectify this situation for Viperdude.

Out of the hundreds of orders...you occasionally get an upset customer. Which is understandable, but I have, and still am willing to work with Viperdude.

Toby Bradhurst, welcome to the forum. We appreciate you coming all the way down here for this matter. Not many people actually do that.

I hope you find my assessment of the situation fair. I try to be as fair as possible when replying to these types of threads.

So the part Viprdude ordered has been discontinued, and superseded by another part.

Here is your stance on discontinued items:

From the sounds of things, you didn't hold up to your end of the bargain. You said the first you heard of the issue was when you were contacted by Viprdude.

If that is the case, hopefully Viprdude will be satisfied and the rotors will have the "e-coating" and anything else he was expecting (including the brand name if that was important to him) and everything will be fine.

That doesn't absolve you from your failing to disclose the discontinuation of the item he ordered within 48 hours. What are a customers options when you notify them of discontinuation? Is a full refund (cancellation of the order) an option?

All I wanted was stoptech with e-coating. The last time we spoke was Jan 16th. The day I created this thread because it seemed completely worthless to try to explain to you why I feel like I got fucked. I am hard headed myself, but this is a no-brainer to me.

I got centric c-tek standards but I paid for stoptech premium with e-coating.

I feel like I should be refunded my money and I should send you back the rotors. You do not carry anything else I want from your store so I cant do a "return/exchange" outlined by your "policies".

Here is something I can copy and paste form YOUR site.

"If the product is on back order or is discontinued, we will notify you within 48 hours."

Well, stoptechs were discontinued, you told me that, but charged my card and sent out centric rotors instead.

I think I got screwed, once again, by another human being out there on planet earth. This same exact crap happened just a little bit ago with someone selling me SHITTY NX calipers and said they were perfectly fine.

So, I decided to try to find an actual place of business with a website, maybe it would be different.

You say on here that you are willing to work with me but in all of your emails, you just copy and paste your whole policy (like I did not read it beforehand and I am some sort of a stupid fucking idiot, it is insulting, I know how to read, that is why I ordered a StopTech BRANDED product. I did not order a Centric C-TEK branded product) In the process, I paid 80 dollars shipped for two Centric C-Tek rotors. I can go onto Amazon.com right now and find the same exact rotors for $13.21 a piece and get free shipping. That is $26.42 for the same exact product that I gave YOU $80.00 for.

How the HELL are you sleeping at night and happy with what happened?

I asked if you had brembo's in stock and you told me no. Sure thing, no problem. I do not want anything else from your store.

I do not want to exchange them.

I want my hard earned money back. I do not have time to play email tag with you and every email you reply to me with, you are only reminding me of the policy and apologizing that I am not happy with my purchase yet do nothing to help me.

You do not seem like you are willing to work with me from the handful of emails between yourself and I, Toby. You want me to conform and do what you want to save 80 bucks.

This whole thing is wrong, on your end, and you did not want to help me in the emails so I told everyone on here about what happened. I am not lying. Don't make it seem like you are so great, I will post up your emails if you try to make me seem like I am a dickhead or I did not ask for a refund or something.

I cannot wait to hear what he has to say next. This will be so good.

He will say "Oh I already told him I would accept a return"

Yeah, that is good and fine, but I don't want to return them only to have $80 credit to your place of business, especially after all of this bullshit.

I want to send you back the rotors, and you give me back my money. That is the only option available.

You broke your own policy first by having it written the way it is.
