You can see both sides in the pictures, there wasn't one. I believe the fix was a venting cap......

Yes, the problem was the sealed cap which prevented fluid from flowing back into the radiator during cool down. After enough cycles you end up with air in the system and then a bubble at the water pump and then "POP"

Yeah, you cant have two sealed systems like that. Thats retarded. That and the nipple for the inlet/outlet is facing the completely wrong way. lol.

Again not very smart on the engineering standpoint

You have no merit. And who cares about your Audi.

jamanrr is just pissed cause he paid to much for nx with more miles then were on the odometer and felt salty after the forum including Miko putting him in his place.
You also notice how he just says "audi". He probably drives a 96 a4 or something old and slow. Check my sig for what I drive.

Yea I didn't think that was to smart myself. Made happy replaced a headgasket for no reason and if it wasn't for a few guys figuring this out he probably would have to replace another.

I remember Joe coming in from a couple laps with a nice hot motor. We messed with the fans then finally found the non-venting over flow and solved it with a little duct tape.

Normally, I wouldn't think it that bad for someone to do something stupid like that if they are just tinkering. I have done stupid things before on my car as many people have. The problem is he is selling a part that is suppose to have a bit of R&D into it, not just a quick fab job. What really irks me is that he made this tank and sold it when he has this:

An IE should know about opened and closed systems.....

EDIT: I just looked at the pictures of the tank again, I don't see any tube or any way for the fluid to get back into the radiator once it cools down, like the stock one does.

No the OP stated that he had too many complaints filed by eBay and pay-pal charge backs. eBay is a scammers paradise right now since they believe anything the buyer claims. I sold to a douche bag similar to you all a rare s14 sr20det series 2 ecu worth about 300 dollars. I should have kept it but I sold it to a guy for 150 bucks. I ran my car with that ecu for 2 years before having an apexi power fc custom tune put in. Well the guy emailed paypal and filed a claim in 2 weeks for a refund. I would not give him money back until he mailed it back to me. I think he had a wiring issue in his car and finally had a shop repair it for him. Well after he gave me negative feedback for my efforts he also would not drop the claim with paypal since he had to send in a tracking number to get the return. Never came and finally it timed out. Another guy I sold a 60 dollar s14 starter to on eBay said he never got it even though I sent it out priority mail and it showed deliver confirmation. I just said screw it and gave him his money back.

That is what the OP was stating is that he does not want to do business with those types and that is his decision. I own an 06 A4 2.0 turbo and it is faster than the NX I own. As far as the NX, I have restored a lot of it, the bumper has been reworked, the hatch has been leaked proof and I installed a pioneer digital media center with sirius radio. IMO it is a nice car, however it is 20 years old and not perfect. Did I pay too much? probably but it is still nicer than the 150-200 thousand mile NXs in autotrader from time to time that sell for 2500 to 3500 dollars. Is the mileage fake, I do not know? I thought about doing something but in the end it was not worth my time. Cause while the mileage could not be determined the fact that it was wrecked in the rear end made me question anything this guy said. I can tell you something though I will never buy another car ever off of FleBay with out looking at it first.
