Agreed 100%.

This thread has a whole bunch more opinions on the same Vendor and the deleting of threads in a Vendors Section.

http://www.sr20-forum.com/suspension/36862-so-looks-very-wrong.html

Here is why Vendors delete complaint threads in their own sections. Pardon me for quoting myself, but I do not feel like typing it all again.

Feedback Forum is the correct place.

The vendors are subject to witch-hunts as red91sr pointed out earlier. A complaint thread in their own section is an invation for a single issue to snowball out of control and get very messy.

If you are running a business (any business, anywhere), you do not want to discuss an issue concerning one (1) person, in public and subject to the scrutiny of every person that happens by in the next week, right in the dead front of your business on the sidewalk. That would not work at the Grocery Store, an Auto Garage, a Real Estate Office, nor on-line.

A Vendors Section is their "on-line sidewalk" at the forefront of their on-line business, and not the place for such a discussion.

In their own Sections, they have at least some Moderator-like powers. For instance the power to delete threads.

Which is why we have a Feedback Section, seperate from any Vendors section.

I am not saying you do not have a fully legit complaint Lourok.

Nor taking any sides.

Just pointing out there's a time and place for everything.

A Vendors Section is not the correct place for Feedback for the reasons stated above. Which is why we have a Feedback Section.

You are now in the Feedback Section, and your voice can and will be heard sir.

I bought a custom happy plate from OEM and asked specificly for Anodized blue and he said no problem. Plate was to read SE-R. Paid $60 shipped for it as well. I got it and it was just a plain old blue, not anodized blue, (no biggie) then when i went to install it the holes were just a tad too far apart causing it not to sit nice and straight and kinda bowed inwards. Again not that big of a deal but im an easy going guy. Those issues to someone else though might be alot bigger deal especially for the money paid for such a simple item i would expect things to be in order.

I posted up the issue with them saying they might want to put the holes a tad closer as the holes are plenty big enough for play or adjustment on the rear lower control arms. The post got ignored and nothing ever was said.

I did purchase just the pipe portion of the WAI and that was made quick and fast and that was back when they first started. Had no problem with that transaction. Seems they are doing way too many things at once and just not keeping up and maybe cutting corners.

Damn, if found a thread like this I would of never ordered anything from OEM. I'm here not to bash others but help my fellow community out with buyer beware. Like I said I wasn't tryin to start a huge deal about my lip. But when Mark deleted my post then I made my choice.

I had some issues with my order a year ago and found it difficult to get my e-mails answered in a timely or complete manner. I did eventually get the order and the issues resolved, but it literally took months and towards the end I was afraid I was going to be out a lot of money.

When I finally received my order, I think the over all quality was pretty good. There were some issues though that I decided to live with instead of trying to get resolved - especially after I brought them to OEM's attention and no offer of assistance was made. The FSTB I ordered stands out most in my mind... it was supposed to be anodized. The mounting plates were unfinished. The main bar was polished. The two support bars were anodized gold. It didn't really bother me, since I was intending to powdercoat it anyway, but this type of poor quality control and customer service was unacceptable to me. I decided not to purchased my second order which would have been an intake, exhaust, and fender braces.

In OEM's recent thread, it seems they've decided to pull back from offering to the larger SR community. That's probably for the best - both for OEM AND the community. OEM doesn't seem to understand the importance of customer service - it is not just an after thought to a business plan. They are also not doing our community a favor by offering products... they are conducting business for which they are being PAID. Recent comments by OEM make me wonder how they view their relationship and responsibility to their customers.

There are threads out there bro you just have to dig. I myself had had issues with them 2-3 times. They support the community, which many don't, so things didn't get blown out of proportion for the sakes of others. We already ran asp out of here now don't forget.

ok well here i go.
when oem barely started doing cf i was all over it. idk if you guys know but i have a very nice bmw that i spare no expense on parts just like my b13 but those parts are alot more expensive. mark seems very easy and was giving me a good deal on the work as long as i helpd him promote around in the bmw community. i sent him all 9 pieces of my interior trim. it took waaaayyy longer than expected and i got back 1 piece that was just plain shit. the tabs were broken and the epoxy had bubbles on it, it was so messd up i couldnt even install it. i came to mark about this and he argue'd that the part was already broken (which it wasnt). i gave him the benefit of the doubt. one of the other pieces had a fucking fly stuck to the epoxy.
when i installed the pieces a week later the cf was splitting from the trim. i brought this to marks attention and he was all over it, i sent him the pieces back and he said he would resolve the issue(i paid for shipping myself). while the pieces were at his shop i ordered other things from him and told him i would send payment a certain day. he was cool enough to send me my parts back without even recieving full payment. well when i recieved them they were so shitty and hackd that i didnt want to pay him the 100 i owed him. he hassled and hassled me about it every day, it cost me WAY more than what i paid for the cf work just to get his work fixed. at one point he told me that his cf work still needs to get sanded and cleard and that would be up to the end user(me) which was never the deal to begin with. the happy plate i got from him has a cut on one of the letters that im sure is going to break off in no time, it should have never been sent to me. in the end i got tired of getting hassled and i paid him the 100 he said i owed, he is very good and on contacting you when you owe him money but when you have a concern he hardly ever answerd a pm, i noticed. he did state that if anything else happens with any part to just send it back and he would take care of it. i never really thought about doing a paypal claim but i guess i should have. it was never about the money i just wanted a nice product for my car. i have a few oem pieces and with a little work they were made to be pretty good. BUT it shouldnt have to be necessary. i know if i owned a shop (hopefully i will someday) i would only let top quality parts leave my doors.

i dont think mark is a bad guy i just think he was over his own production capability. maybe if he concentrated on certain items or less he would be alot better.. idk he dealt with me "ok" or maybe i just took it lightly. i wish i would have spoke up before and maybe would have avoided problems for some people.

i did purchase a pair of his rad brackets right before i heard the news. i was going to give him another shot. hopefully i dont get added to his black list after this.

man that lip looks like as$, why would you send something like that and have the balls to ask the kind of money they were asking....

maybe im cheap, but i always had a bad feeling about OEM for charging way too much and the quality its not really that impressive
