Mazworx...
After reviewing recent quotes received by Mazworx I have to question their business practices and some of their reasoning behind prices.

I Decided to start this thread to receive feedback from other people in this community with their experiences with Mazworx.

I am one who never cuts corners or cheaps out on doing something right, but now I feel like they are starting to take advantage of this market/community.

Before I go on, I would like to hear some feedback.

Maybe it is just me. IDK..

My experience with mazworx has been great thus far. Their prices are a bit high but their quality is very good and they do things right.

I ordered about 2700.00 worth of stuff from them. Their prices on the items i bought were right there with anywhere else as far as my ID1000 injectors, Synapse Syncronic 50mm wastegate, Bosch 044 fuel pump and a couple other things.

Other than that,

I got my 04 6 speed trans w/P12 bellhousing already installed, full swap mount kit, ID1000, Bosch 044, Synapse wastegate, DIY manifold kit, and i know there is more. All arrived safe and sound and looks great.

I do think some of their stuff is a little over priced maybe but they have great stuff and great quality so i guess i really cant complain.

It's only taking advantage if you don't know what you're getting.

I'm glad this thread has been made. I would really like to post my quote, but I didn't want to feel like I was throwing shots at mazworx publicly. People that know me know I don't mess around when I say I'm going to buy something. When I say money in hand no flake, I mean it. I just thought that the quote given was not reasonable. I could have paid the money with no problem, but I'm a buisness man and I don't like to just throw it away. I really wanted to have a 2.3L / 92x86 motor built and I still do. At the moment, I'm looking into other options to save.

P.S. Still at the end of the day, Mazworx does great work!

One thing i dont get is they were doing sleeved blocks for $699 on special back a while ago, but that was basicly install sleeves and that was it. But then they go to tell you that line honing the mains is more than likely necessary but not included. Then going to the final bore size whatever you want was another $350 and other things and so on. So what was originally $699 hell of a deal turned into $2500 worth of work easily for what you really wanted.

My buddy had his Darton sleeves installed at a local machine shop that hadnt done them before using the specs from darton. They looked great when done but turned out because they didnt use a torque plate when doing the bore to 90mm the sleeves lifted up slightly and then they decked it. So when the head was installed the sleeves dropped back down from sheer pressure from the head install. The gasket gave way shortly after first startup getting coolant into all cylinders.

Now had they known to use a torque plate when doing the boring i have no doubt the sleeve install would have been fine and he would have been rolling around with a 2.2 VE. He originally paid $450 to the machine shop for the sleeve install and bore to 90mm. luckily they had insurance and gave him back the money for the block, sleeves, headgasket, and pain and suffering persay. so he got back his money.

But if a local machine shop can do it for $450 and they dont have near the fancy equipment that Mazorx does then why cant it be done for that price by them. But i guess you pay for the extra quality and knowing the sleeves wont drop.

My buddy had his F20 block sleeved at Golden Eagle and it came to $1200 and that included the shipping back. That was sleeving the block, decking it, block guard, and bore to any size. So i guess the price is close.

I've had good service from them so far.....
I think the quote they gave me for the engine work was reasonable.
You gotta pay to play.

I've also had good expierence. It seems to me that the people upset about high prices are thos actually having motors built from mazworx. And this to me seems logical, if your having a race engine built by a shop, and you expect them to warrenty it, then id imagine they would do a fine job but they won't be cheap...

I myself just sent them a block , had them do the necessary machine work to sleeve it and bore to 92mm(1500ish), and then purchased custom pistons(600) and bearing and a head gasket from them. Assembled everything myself and I've been a happy customer.

Heres what my buddy charges to sleeve blocks so prices seem simular to the norm atleast on the sleeving.

Block Sleeving

Click an engine and check out the prices of the options.

- I wasn't interested in having them build my whole motor. I went the route I was suppose to and talked to a member that knew more about it before hand and told him what I wanted. He warned me there would be a few things on the list I didn't need and there was. I just wanted to send them a block and get it sleeved. I can assemble it myself.

EDIT: - I'm not complaining on my end, just trying to manage my options to my needs as I have other things going on. Again as I stated, they do great work!
