If i remember that really doesn't even need to be pressed in. I think they come in two halves. I do remember, however, having to take a lot of time to shave it off so the bolt would fit correctly. You gotta cut off a bunch of the mount for it to fit right. Maybe that's what happened here. Not sure how you can screw the pass side mount up? Seems like it just may need to be tightened to help push it together. I'd check to see if the two bolts are even in place on the mount.

takes me a total of 15 minutes to remove an reposition mount properly..... no cutting what so ever...

to get bolts ot line up u must position jack good under motor an lift without goin to high... just enough to take the whole strain off the center bolt of the mount then remove long bolt then the three shortys that hold the mount onto bracket on block.

if you having trouble ... stop what your doing. and find someone as anal as i am when it comes to mounts... most of them are ase certified.. i am not.

Sometimes one side is heard more than the other and sometimes you just have to be there to understand the situation. So i think this thread is pointless becuase the customer is not very educated at all about the work involved in building a car. only the cost involved.

On a side note: I strive to do good work. On my car or someone elses. No comprimises. I keep jet engines flying. I am trained to do good work. I personally done alot of work for people in the past. about 99% were totally satisfied. (damn..i built a motor for someone almost 6 years ago and heard lately that the motor is still going strong.) and 1% were not satisfied. That 1% dragged my name through the dirt. It made me feel like crap and there was nothing i could do about it to defend myself. This is why i dont work on customer cars anymore. Its not worth my name or reputation. Builders like myself have only a few aspects to follow. That is to build a car the best way we can at the customers expense and desire. All we can do is offer our advice in the direction the build should go..but the costomer ultimatley has the final say. And sometimes the customer has no direction other than what they read in magazines and what they see on the internet.

In the end i hope it all works out for Jun and and the customer. But most likely not

Well put, and I think this is what is really happening.

I think this thread should be closed, there is nothing more that can be really said or is there really any good that this is doing besides dividing people even more.
If the guy wants to start a build thread by this shop he should do so in another thread.

I agree with the build thread idea. This thread has went here and there and back. Junior still hasn't addressed many questions I doubt he will now that he has gone into hiding.

Yup agreed. Jason can you start posting project updates in a new thread here?'

That way we can leave this for the actual questions/problems with JMR.

Wow...took 4 days but i just read all 40 pages, i know both parties personally and would rather not get involved, but as of now, has anyone heard from Jun? Shawn B, idk who you are, but you went in, and are damn good at defending for what you believe in, to say the least. Sorry to bump the thread if it's been put to sleep, just wanted to know if anyone has heard from Junior. Despite all this, and the differences i have with him, he's not that bad a guy, though what happened with Jason is unfortunate, i know his customers are loyal and this wont hurt his business much. Jason, hope your car's almost on the road...should have sold it and gotten the supra when you were thinking about it man.

I am NOT the most well liked individual in the Se-R community nor am I extremely good friends with Junior at the present time, in fact we haven't spoke since I didn't pay my "punkout money" for a race that was set for Atco season closer, with that said I would like to say that my opinions are somewhat unbaised to a certain degree so please mod's & others hold off the flames....

In my very humble opinion This is how i see it.

Jason- You were (admittedly) extremely naive in your dealings with Junior, at some point ($5k or even $10k into it) you should have realized that you were getting shafted with absolutely no grease. Secondly, I am sure if @ $20k into this you decided to stop that the $20k you spent is just a drop in the bucket for a fella like you. ( I maybe wrong about that but more likely than not, I am correct)
Jason, you should take this as a pretty expensive life lesson. I believe that your naivity is the root cause of this debacle. Junior runs a business and like any business man he saw an opportunity and grabbed it, you cant fault him for that. You can certainly fault him for crappy work/parts etc, but at some point you should have smelled the figurative & literal oil burn and walked the hell away, but instead you chose to continue to be shafted.

Jun- You dig a man eye out & you gotta expect this, like jason you should take this a huge BUSINESS LESSON, I think its really messed up what transpired here but there is always two sides to a story and apparently everyone is waiting for you side. Me as a businessman myself, can understand your position of taking full advantage of a situation, but its all about the numbers in the end. 1 unsatisfied customer out of 100 isnt a bad ratio. But i think you should have stepped up and answered this once Shawn B started going in on you.
IMHO Jun,Good press or bad press, is still press... How are those dyno days schedule looking over there?

In conclusion- I believe that people will continue to go to Jr based on his long standing rep (good or bad) and i dont think that this will affect his business negatively, in fact like i said good press or bad press is still press...

BTW Jason- Please call Dread the Sr Doc at Top Level if you want to hopefully get to my level one day. I could only imagine if i dropped $20k at Top Level on my sentra.... Good luck in the future and if you need dreads number PM. He'll take good care of you.

and what level is that? your car is an embrassment to me, saw on the dyno not impressed at all.

anyway back on topic. as been said for both sides are at fault. but in juns case all jason wanted back was his 2300 for the last swap even tho there were numerious other f**k ups in this whole deal. i own a shop myself and there were me i would man up and give him the 2300 he asked for.
