Thread: SR20-Forum Blacklist & Beware List Discussion Thread

OK, since I was unfairly, and without any warning added to this "buyer beware" list yesterday, I'd like to tell you all why I disagree. I don't know who the OP is, but obviously he doesn't know the full story. I also don't agree that it's right for 1 single forum member to dictate who and who isn't on this "buyer beware" list. Could I just create my own thread and post a "buyer beware" list? There should be a general consensus from multiple respected forum members, not just some no name poster. For all I know, OP knows the person who has been trolling and harassing me for TWO YEARS. I'll get more into that later in this post. Putting me on this list is like a person driving without a traffic ticket his entire life, then he gets one ticket, he disagrees with it, yet has his license suspended forever without any due process. It's completely unfair.

After seeing my name on this list, I spent a couple hours compiling screen shots of the interactions with the person who has physically threatened me (and was given a 2-week ban here due to that) - who has called my cell phone and hung up multiple times, who has told me to commit suicide by "pulling a Robin Williams" (go search for it) and also accused me of running some sort of UPS scam where I "artificially inflated the weight of an item" - I assume in his mind, to pocket the difference in shipping fees that were charged and what was actually sent. I sent the buyer a photo of the shipping label and it said the header weighed "17 of 99 pounds" - yet he accused me of inflating the weight to pocket the difference.

The user's name is 91sentragti-r - aka Oscar Martinez.

At the most recent 2016 NJ SE-R convention, I arrived late Saturday after a show and hung out with everyone in the hotel parking lot. Everyone was cool, it was a lot of fun; we shot the shit about the cars there, and everything else. I finally met the guys I had talked to for so long but never met in person ( @daveracer - @speedricer , etc) and they were awesome. However one of Oscar's friends was "sent" to come up to me. I am 100 percent serious. This friend told me that "Oscar sent him to deliver a message". I swear on my life, this is what he said. Now first of all, I can't even begin to describe how pathetic it is for someone to fly from California to New Jersey for an SR20 convention and confront *ME* over a 2-year old fiasco. Seriously? It was supposed to be a fun time, for people of all cultures, backgrounds, genders, and ages, to come together with a common interest: the SR20 motor and it's vehicles. Yet, one of Oscar's friends confronted me in the parking lot. He said he had a "message to deliver". While he spoke calmly, there was an underlying threat that I felt, and others who witnessed it would later agree. I told him I disagreed with his position, I didn't want to ship the header to Oscar in the first place, Oscar harassed me for WEEKS afterwards, and I wanted nothing to do with this anymore. The transaction was over TWO YEARS AGO and occurred in August 2014. It was July 2016 now, and I have someone coming up to me and getting in my face. OK, maybe getting in my face is a strong phrase. He wasn't really in my face, but he was making me and people around me uncomfortable. I never got his name, but other people at the convention came up to me afterwards and asked me what was going on. I saw him the next day at the picnic briefly but thats all. Still don't know who he was.

Anyways, I've had almost every active moderator on this forum, (active----> they post at least a couple times a week) - privately message me and tell me how ridiculous user 91sentragti-r has been. They have called him an ass clown, a moron, an idiot, a trouble maker, a fool, a tool, a dumbass etc. I'm not making this up. They said these things, and they were RIGHT.

Oscar ( 91sentragti-r ) follows me in almost every thread on this forum, ESPECIALLY for sale threads, as he did recently, and posts his rhetoric and bullcrap. I'd like to ask you guys, how would you like it if every-time you posted something for sale, you had another user with a grudge reply in the thread to undermine you? You wouldn't like it. I mean the guy has even posted in threads where I am GIVING STUFF AWAY! It's ridiculous.

So here's the deal. When this whole thing went down in August 2014.... PAYPAL RULED IN *MY* FAVOR. Scroll below to see the screen shots as I have included many. Say what you want about Paypal, but the fact that 91sentragti-r continues to follow me around and post lies despite this ruling is absolutely unacceptable. The fact that I have been placed on this "buyer beware" list, even though I have been a part of this community since 1999 (17 years) - and 91sentragti-ri is a Honda guy who realized the potential of the SR20 just several years ago is ridiculous.

HMMM, so on this forum, I have 46/47 POSITIVE, save the 1 from our good 'friend' Oscar Martinez; and there were easily 30-40 more things that I personally bought *AND* sold where feedback was simply never left by the other party. On eBay, I have 100% positive feedback. Does anyone see an inconsistency here??

To put me on a "buyer beware" list with that kind of feedback (98% positive) - is absolutely ridiculous. What am I, JGY Customs? No! I'm a private individual who has simply sold things he didn't need, and bought things he did. We are dealing with a person who has unreasonable expectations of an 8 year old USED exhaust header, who BEGGED me to ship it to him, even though in my original ad (TWO YEARS AGO!!!) I wrote I wanted local pick up only. I sent him all the photos of it that I had. I told him I'd rate it a 6/10 on the 1-10 scale. I wanted someone to come look at it IN PERSON and make an offer and take it home. After an entire week of 91sentragti-r asking me to ship it, I did. AND HE DIDN'T EVEN SEND ME ENOUGH MONEY TO SHIP IT. I ended up having to cover $20 or $30 worth of shipping costs with my own money. As you will see in the screen shots below, I told him that shipping a 4-1 design header from Pennsylvania to California would be expensive. He still wanted it.

So let me tell you all this.

I sent Oscar EVERY PHOTO I HAD OF THE HEADER. I texted him them. Yet conveniently, he forgets. He wanted a perfect header when I told him it had been installed on my 92 SE-R VVL for over TWO YEARS. I wanted someone local to come pick it up and make an offer. Unfortunately I don't have the same phone I had 2 years ago to post the text conversations.

My point is, I wouldn't go to this extent and waste an entire Thursday night if I didn't think I was right. The guy is unbelievable, he is a troll, he should be banned, and he has no place on this forum, at all. Some of his other posts to other people are filled with racism and hate.
However, the people I have met personally on this forum have been wonderful, giving, generous and kind. I highly doubt Mr. Martinez is the same way. He is a scam artist, and because he was the buyer and I was the seller, I got shafted.

I should not be on a buyer beware list on this forum. I have been playing with these cars since 1999. Oscar was probably being toilet trained then. Why would I come this far, appear in Road & Track magazine where **I PLUGGED THIS FORUM** - it's web address, and was quoted as to how wonderful this community is, just to f*** it all up on a single sale of an exhaust header? It makes no sense. I spent hundreds of dollars to buy food for the 2012 Ohio SE-R convention. Ask the organizers if you don't believe me. I received a very nice message from one of them soon after who said "we would have run out of food if not for you Jordan" - how much has Oscar spent on this community? He adds nothing but negativity and this post is a direct result.

I am thoroughly disgusted that my screen name was put on this list. It's uncalled for, unfair, and unwarranted. If anything, Mr. Martinez should be placed on this list. He has harassed me on and off for TWO YEARS, has threatened me physically (as he was banned for that for a couple weeks). I also had many strange phone calls from an area code in California, and not to mention him sending a friend to the 2016 convention with a "message" about retaliation when it was supposed to be a good time.

Look at my feedback and decide for yourself.

First of all, don't blame the OP, he simply started the thread that all moderators and admins can modify. I'm the one that added you to the list and for what I honestly believe is a good reason, even though @91sentragti-r has pissed me off more times then you have.

I was in a hiatus when this header debacle happened and we were having staffing issues thus no appropriate action was taken at the time. Even though it's been two years, it doesn't matter, if something wrong was done and never righted the parties should be held accountable. I sent you a PM over a month ago asking to provide proof or work with @91sentragti-r to resolve this and I clearly told you that you would be added to the list if you didn't comply.

We've seen very well respected members with high ratings all the sudden start ripping people off before. Thus almost good ratings mean nothing if you rip someone off.

The reason it took me months to come to a final conclusion is that both of you were crying about us being in bed with the other party no matter the decision we made. I'll clearly say this, no one is in bed with anyone as you implied, you BOTH have been a thorn in our sides and bringing the overall forum moral down and for that I should ban BOTH OF YOU. But I believe in a Democracy (Republic), thus want to solve this without going that far.

With that said, any more bickering from you two will get you both permanently banned. That means if you, @Storm88000, and Oscar, @91sentragti-r, don't simply ignore each other and instigate more trouble you both will be banned.


Finally on the reason you were added to the list. And how you can get off the list.
Lets go back to the for sale thread that started this

First off here is the original posting that you made in this thread, that you later removed after the sale.


You later modified that post to say "Good shape, i'd say 7/10. No holes or rust." Now good shape and rating will vary person to person, but I personally would have not assumed it was rewelded (poorly at that).

You also later modified the post to have this image, once again not showing the bad side of the header.


The original post was created 08-12-14 12:41 AM and the very last modification happened 08-12-14 10:20 PM, all within the same day.

Now you can try to argue that you didn't know about the damage that's why didn't explicitly list it or show it in the FS thread, but on 11-16-13 02:38 AM you posted a picture of your header that clearly shows the damage and you are asking if it's normal.

Why didn't you use this picture or angle in the for sale thread? It clearly shows that you were trying to hide this damage and not talk about it. Now I cannot go by what pictures you sent him or didn't send him privately, and neither of you can present me evidence of those pictures thus I have to go by what I see on the forum it self.

You were added to the blacklist because you clearly tried to omit details about the header and deceive the prospect buyers, and when it surfaced you refused to work with the buyer to resolve this.

Lastly, if you wish to get off the list, refund the header fully and get it back (at your cost). Or do a partial refund that @91sentragti-r is happy at.

Read the classified rules. "No grievances. That's why we have a feedback section." That is exactly what Mr. Martinez had been doing for YEARS yet none of you mods have done shit.

Oh and by the way. I sent him every photo I had of that header including the one you have based your entire argument on. He had no problems with how it looked in the photos. It was buyers remorse plain and simple. If he sent it back I would refund his money. I told him this
many times, but he expects me to pay the $100+ shipping cost, which I will not do. I ALREADY HAD TO COVER $30 OF MY OWN MONEY TO SHIP IT TO HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE! Because he claimed he didn't have enough when I was on the phone with him at the UPS store. I wanted a local pickup for the header in the first place, someone to come see it in person and make an offer, but he insisted I ship it. In fact, he drove me nuts for a week so I finally gave in. I really wonder how someone has so much time on their hands to follow someone all over the Internet over something that happened years ago.

OK, here we go. I'm going to respond to your post piece by piece. Even though I had a show until 1am and have to be up in a few hours, I still took the time to do this. Because I believe I have been treated unfairly. This will be my last post on this subject, and I don't plan on posting on this forum that much anymore in general. The hypocrisy of this situation is unbelievable. Honestly, I don't give a $hit about being on a blacklist. In the grand scheme of things, it means nothing. This is a website devoted to an extinct motor that no one but us care about anymore. Each convention has less and less participants. 2012 was the highlight of all the conventions.. it was amazing. But nothing lasts forever, especially something as complex and volatile as a specific community brought together by a common interest. The problem is, interests change over the years. My good friend Ray Kawski, who is basically an SR20 guru, who has a 360WHP 98 Sentra SE, does not post here because of the immaturity of some of us. His quote "I don't go on there anymore because they never grew up." His beast of a car has been sitting under a car cover in his garage, collecting dust for FOUR YEARS. These are the kind of guys we have lost. We lost Mike Kojima, we lost Kieran Lavin, Crazy Joe, George Roffe etc. They left. They have moved on.

So before I get into your post, let's talk a little about some of the problems on this forum, and why it's in the state it's in:

The chat box has killed content. I find it disturbing that thread creation and forum posting in general has been discouraged. Content is the point of a message forum, is it not? There a couple mods/people here, and I mean really only like 2 or 3, who have a lot to say and criticize me and others behind the computer screen but in person they don't say a word. Not you Vadim, as I never met you.... but there's a few who talk a big game but in person won't even look you in the eye. I am not the only who has recognized this. There are others I speak to privately who also see this forum being dead in a few years because of this stuff. It's a damn shame. I was on the original SE-R mailing list back in the late 90's and it was great. There was some know-it-alls, but none of this blacklisting people despite a near perfect record. Look, I'm in my 30's now. I find these cars fun, and I like playing with them, but it won't last forever. There are no longer many B13 SE-R's for 16 year old kids who just got their drivers licenses (as I did) to buy them and then learn all about them on here. In fact, I have not seen a B13 SE-R on the road, in person, in about a year. They are all dying or being put down. Scrapped. Gone. That is the future of this forum unless changes are made.

So I think this blacklist thing is just the tip of the iceberg. I am sorry if I got off topic here, but it's about time someone said it. Y'all can do whatever you want, but if you want this forum to still have activity in say, 4-6 years, there needs to be some serious changes. The reality is, content of this nature has moved onto sub-sections of social media. The SR20-Forum Dash FACEBOOK page has SOOO much more activity on it than here, relative to the size, it's incredible. Like it or not, specific sub-groups on social media is probably the future and only way forums like this will survive. Adapt or it slowly dies; it's evolution.

Now onto your post:

1) I was not aware that the OP did not edit his own posts. My apologies to the OP, then. 91sentragti-r has been harassing me for TWO YEARS, which clearly breaks forum rules about the classifieds (the whole airing of grievances). As for you Vadim, I believe you are a solid guy. I think you just got duped by a con-artist. It happens. Actually, I almost met up with you to buy your B15 or G20 (I can't recall) a few years ago, but didn't in the end because of emissions reasons. We've been talking on this forum for years. Mr. Martinez adds NOTHING positive to this forum and should be on a black list himself. As in, "don't sell anything to this guy" - go look at some of his old posts from the last few years. He has harassed others too, using racial slurs, and worse. I have received PM's from people he has done this to, who asked that I not involve them in this. It's not just me.



2) What about the two years of him harassing me? That doesn't matter? Also, have you NOT looked at my feedback? 46/47 POSITIVE. That speaks for itself. The fact that 1 negative encounter with a sociopath, pathological liar on here puts me on a "blacklist" is unacceptable. 1 negative feedback account for 2 percent of the whole. That means 98 percent of people I have sold to and bought items from were happy with the transactions. And trust me, there were MANY more, not everyone leaves feedback.



3) This is laughable. I have been working on these cars for almost 18 YEARS. And I've had plenty of positive buyer/seller interactions in the last 2 years since Oscar.



4) WHAT?? Find ANYWHERE where I said that you or any other moderators were "in bed" with Martinez. First of all, the notion that someone could "be in bed" with someone over the sale of a bunch of exhaust pipes on a DYING MESSAGE FORUM FOR A MOTOR THAN HAS BEEN EXTINCT SINCE 2002 is insane!! I have not been in a thorn in your or anyone's sides. The simple fact is, OSCAR MARTINEZ HAS BEEN HARASSING ME FOR 2 YEARS AND NONE OF YOU HAVE DONE A FUCKING THING ABOUT IT.



5) I don't bicker with him. Don't you see?? Do a search. He goes into any for sale thread I post and starts shit. EVERY TIME. And you guys let it go. Even though it's clearly against the rules. So please, Vadim, explain to me why THAT is allowed, but I'm not permitted to defend myself when he does it? If I don't, who else will? I don't bother the guy, I wouldn't know him from a can of paint. Also, look at his grammar and spelling. It's awful most of the time. Remember that on the internet a very accurate way to gauge a person's intelligence and honesty is their grammar and spelling. His is a bunch of gibberish at times. Just thought I'd remind you all of that.



6) I believe I said the header was a 6/10. 7/10, maybe. Again it was YEARS ago, so I'm not sure. Vadim, you have always been nice to me, as I said I almost bought your car, but you don't know half of what you think you do. I'm sorry that my 6/10 rating isn't equal to yours. However for a TWO YEAR OLD HEADER that had been installed on a car that saw a dozen track days, it was in fair shape. It was completely functional. There were no holes or rust. It worked perfectly. I sold it because I was moving, not because it was functioning poorly.



7) I can't believe this. Is this for real? How the HELL do you know what went on during a private conversation with myself and another user over text messaging and email? I TEXTED OSCAR ALL PHOTOS I HAD TO HIS CELL PHONE! I did not include all of these photos in the original for sale thread, correct, BECAUSE I WANTED SOMEONE TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON, and make me an offer, and pick it up. I was in the process of losing my house and moving and the last thing I felt like doing was finding a giant box to send an exhaust header half way across the world. I had local members who wanted to come see it in person, but Mr. Martinez would not let up about buying it. He drove me nuts for a week as I previously said. He had me to go the UPS store with it, get a shipping quote, then he said it was too much to ship and to forget it, so I went home. Then he calls me again the next day and says he wants it. I go BACK to the UPS store, and then he says he's $30 short on the shipping cost. So me, being the nice person that I am, offered to cover the difference. Then I get accused by him of inflating the shipping cost to pocket the difference.



8) I NEVER ARGUED ABOUT WHAT'S IN THE PHOTO! HE SAW ALL THESE PHOTOS! Including ones not posted on the forum that I sent him privately.



9) I am speechless. So you're implying I pretended there was no weld at the bottom, then sent him it and hoped he didn't notice. I may not have posted that photo in the ORIGINAL for sale ad, but I surely sent him them once we were talking privately via text messages. HE SAW ALL OF THOSE PHOTOS. How many times can I say this? Apparently not enough.

11). The blacklist is absolute horse shit. I would like to know how many other users have been added to it who did nothing wrong. I offered to send him a full refund if he sent the header back but he wants me to pay the shipping costs as well. Since I already spent $30 of my own money shipping it to him, I will not be paying for that as well. If he wants to pay the shipping to me, I WILL refund the original price of the header itself. I am not paying his shipping costs yet again. He won't do it though.

But hey, lets look at some of the other people on this "blacklist." Some of these people allegedly own THOUSANDS of dollars and NEVER EVEN SHIPPED THE ITEMS THEY SOLD! How does a difference in opinion on an exhaust header warrant me being lumped in with these people?? Let us look shall we?

So I "omitted pictures" yet I'm lumped in with a group of people who owe thousands of dollars to other members, who never sent what they sold, who disappeared after getting their money, who never delivered their items, who are crooks, thugs, and hooligans. BUT *OMG*!!! I "omitted pictures" (which isn't even true). If you don't think that's a fucking JOKE, I don't know what to tell you.

12) Paypal ruled that I had appropriately described the item. I don't really give a hoot about being on this blacklist. Let's all face the music here. This is a dying forum, between moderators (not you Vadim, but there are others) who discourage posting, who spend all their time in the chat box which deters posting actual information that can be searched and utilized by others at a later date. Being on the blacklist here is about as significant as getting a parking ticket. It means almost nothing. My 46/47 feedback speaks for itself. My 100% positive feedback on eBay also speaks for itself. I still cannot believe that you and others have given a guy like Mr. Martinez, who has harassed forum members, used racial slurs, given personal threats, among many other rule violations, enough water to put an 18 year-veteran in the SR20 scene on the blacklist (me). I have done more for this forum in a year than Mr. Martinez will ever do. He doesn't give a shit about this community, and someone will find out the hard way. My advice to any of you reading this: don't buy or sell anything to this guy.

I almost regret plugging this forum in the largest car magazine in the United States. At the time I believed this community was amazing.. well, 90 percent of you are amazing, but its sad that 1 person can cause all of this, as most all you guys I've met in person are wonderful, generous people. One of you even became one of my best friends (he know who he is ) - but this is ridiculous. I haven't always seen "eye to eye" with all of you here. Some of you and I have had our differences. But my mom still thinks I'm great. That's good enough for me. What I find ironic, is the members here I have met in person and personally hung out with are absolutely wonderful people. Some of the nicest guys around. I will forever cherish the friendships I made with many of you. You all know who you are. It's just terribly sad it has come to this. I wish you all the best, I hope you all get your cars how you want them to, I hope you all do all you've dreamed of and then some. The dedication I have seen on this forum to goals has been quite inspiring to me. Thank you. You know who you are.

Mr. Martinez should expect a letter from lawyer quite soon. Not joking. I warned him about the harassment. He didn't stop.

You know it is funny that you bring this up because I had people ask me this year "Why aren't you gonna take your car on the track? That is your thing" Well, yes and no. If I had optioned to pay the $400 track day, that would have put me over $1,000.00 for the Convention when it comes down to t-shirts, picnic donations, the hotel room, gas, and buying stuff while at the Convention, costs compound. I could barely believe it.

Our community is cheap so this hampers all interactions and why the "pre-pay-to-play" idea was a large failure in the end from a total lack of participation from the people. Only Shawn B and someone else pre-paid for events, iirc. That was a shift in the community that was not (nor expected to have been) picked up by the SERCA crowd and that led to the rush get-together of 2011 in Meriden, CT and history is there to present itself?



-No one else that i know of at the Convention so you must mean me. I tell folks you are not like the internet poster that people can see 24 hours a day vs experience being around you in real life since they are two vastly different experiences. I said hello to you, maybe ya did not hear me? I dunno what else more you want.... There was only one person I actively ignored this year and that was mr chappy at the picnic. Any other time, apologies if I missed you but that seems to happen each year since 2011 and me traveling to these Conventions.


Both Ohio Conventions are great memories in my mind. 2013 was better but I do not recall seeing you present at that event. Ever since 2013, we have had wonderful tries and always had a great time getting together but nothing quite like it was in the "hey-day".



The forum has and will continue and survive each major popularity shift in users expressing there feelers on the interwebs. AOL chatrooms > AIM > MySpace etc..... I would like more people to be here, but that just won't happen and you cannot force things. I see plenty of users complaining about Facebook and how that service allows more and more useless drivel to be spread faster than wildfire. This forum is set up to deter that from happening and it works. That is the he double edged effect of using a simplistic program. Also the Forum does not own your photos nor do we intend on making money advertising your information. Huge advantage to the forum. If people are so lazy, they cannot think of a section to put a thread in, or garner a price for the item they are selling, perhaps the post should not even be made to begin with. Also, seeing any threads talking about a dead parts that no one can even get anymore is not going to be popular. I am sorry if this is the first time you are hearing this, but that is what it is. You cannot expect to drum up activity talking about dead parts that no one can even get anymore. I don't control how people think or use the internet, but thinking first would be a great start.



I want to ask because others have asked me "Did anyone from here ask you to plug the forum?" Because taking the "I plugged the forum so everyone should treat me better" angle is quite un-attractive. I guess it is neat that a car magazine listed us, maybe if someone came from there to here, I would see something more of it? (it comes down to, no one cares about a Sentra except a few of us)



In person, you are 100% different than how you act on the internet. Moderators/admins/members have all asked me is this how you are in person and I have vehemently denied that and affirmed that you are "normal" (since what really is normal anyway) in person.

So I have partly contributed to the perceived ruining of the forum in your minds eye?? Interesting theory. I do not control how people sell and ship things and never have I controlled who uses the forum, interesting that you reference a moderator who used the chat box since this world is so tiny you obviously have inferred myself. I have asked the mod team to leave me out of your entire shit-fest of a situation since it began so many years ago before they asked me to help out around here........ I do not want to be grandfathered into this yet your prior post has the two ideals mixing like a cocktail of misinformation.

I am very sorry, Kieran. If there are more changes and history can be made correct, please PM me or inform otherwise! I am not a history book and my memory is awfully fuzzy in the past thirteen or fourteen years of seeing people and things and stuff in the community.

I PM'ed @Kyle privately to clear some things up as to not add more BS to this thread as it's already filled up to the brim.

I will not be posting on this forum much anymore, as long as my name is lumped in with a group of criminals who have committed felonies, fraud, mail fraud, theft by deception, and stolen THOUSANDS of dollars from members here. Yet my "offense" (and I use that term sarcastically) is "omitting a photo in a for sale thread." That's just unbelievable. Anyone with a shred of common sense can surely see that.

It's been fun for the past few years, I met a lot of nice people and had a lot of fun at the 2012, 2013 and 2016 conventions.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 300ZX TT, and will be moving on. I will not participate in a community where I have been labeled a criminal without any evidence or due process. Thanks to all of you who were kind to me, on and offline, who have helped me with my questions and issues, and who were always there to lend a hand. You know who you are. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!

However, there's not much point to discuss this specific situation in my opinion until all of the forum staff are on the same page.
