I saw the ad on ebay and called them up since they were local. I asked about the engines and was told they were tested to be within factory spec. I asked again in person if they had compression or leakdown numbers to share and was told no but they are tested and within factory spec and come with 3 month warranty.

I bought/picked up an engine on Tuesday 8/11/09 and for the heck of it we did a leakdown test yesterday evening 8/13/09 and the numbers were HORRID. Leakdown showed 80%, 20%, 30%, 60% (obviously crappy motor).

I called this morning 8/14/09 to say I didn't appreciate being lyied to about 'within factory spec' and was told they do NOT do a leakdown but do compression test and it was fine (within spec). I point out there is no possible way it could have a normal (within factory spec) compression test with 80% leakdown like that.

I drove back into the city, returned the engine and got my money back.


Any buyer use your own judgement if/when dealing with them!

Thanks for posting that info. I was looking at one of their ebay ads also. Were you able to leave negative feedback?

I recently asked Soken in California if they would take a pic from under the valve cover of a sr20 they are selling. They said they would but that was a couple days ago. We'll see.
