The newer realtime ecu...
Ok so I was reading a post here on the forum and noticed you (CALUM) mentioned a newer realtime version of your ecu. So what I would like to know is
-What exactly is the difference between the older version and the newer one?
-Will the older realtime ecu's prices be reduced?

The newer R/T ECU has auxillery inputs, for things like wideband and boost sensor, etc.

Why would they? They aren't any less work or cost for him. This isn't a mass produced item that they try to clear "old" inventory or come up with more efficient production procedures.

Exactly. If this were the case, then the Basics surely would have gone down in price further than they already are.

As an aside, Nate how's things? Haven't heard from you in a long while.

So what would b the difference of being able to connect it directly to ur ecu vs the og way?(more accurate, faster readings, etc)

The main reason is for datalogging capabilities, all in one package.

Those of us that use the older R/T ECU, don't have capabilities to directly datalog from external devices like a wideband o2 sensor, or a boost sensor/etc. and display all information on the same datalog/map.

I don't know about other people, but I asked for this a long time ago, because I have an AEM EUGO 6 in 1 wideband, and no way to datalog my AFR in tandem with the datalog from the ECU.

What's even nicer is being able to datalog boost with everything else, so you can see exactly what the car is doing at a certain point, and immediately know what the AFR is at that point and tune for it.

Not sure what the newer RT costs. Haven't purchased one yet as my car has been sitting in my driveway at home, around 3k miles away.
