Thread: HELP!! Anyone in Sac have this lug nut key!!??

Damnit! I was trying to take of my rear rims and go figure...there's this damn special lug nut on it. I don't have the key and neither does the previous owner. That was a no brainer, I mean...I don't even think he knows what a lug nut is.

well obviously before you get new nuts, you have to remove the old ones.

no but seriously, when my car went into the roll cage shop, they had the same issue. theres a left hand nut remover socket that you can purchase at sears. hammer the guy on and twist it off (to the left) with a ratchet or wrench. then you're all set.

Man, that stuff will cost me as much as getting new nuts will. I'm just looking for a cheap fix...aka $Free.99. Damn this sucks...

Find a normal socket that fits in most of the little ridges and hammer it on (like deform it to fit in the lock), then just unbolt it.

Or weld a nut on it.

if that's how it looks on the picture, go to pep boys. I used to work there and there were plenty of nuts with the special key to remove it.
