A great guy that I never had a chance to meet. The time flies...

He ALSO never had a chance himself. To live. He had his whole life ahead of him, all gone in less than a second. I was 18 yrs old when this story broke. I was reading about it on the SE-R mailing list and was totally stunned. Sometimes I see this story even now, 15+ years later and my heart skips a beat and I get a feeling of anxiety. At the point in time he passed away, that was the FIRST thing on the internet that actually made it's way into my real life. Meaning, before that, all of you who posted and wrote on the SE-R mailing list were just little people who lived in my computer. Then THAT happened and you see how real it all is. Will never forget it, ever.
