made a little bit of progress yesterday.

got the front cover, water pump, and oil pans off.

don't the Japanese believe in changing their oil?

a little bit of sludge in the oil pan

Oil pan was pretty banged up. So far it doesn't look like it's cracked. Going to clean it up and hopefully bang it back into place in a couple spots than throw some paint on it.

You changing the rod bearings too? might as well since you have the pan off.

Got a little bit more done on the VE this past weekend.

cleaned up the block a bit, oil pump, oil pans and baffle, and knocked out some of the dents on the oil pan and painted it.

new OEM water pump installed, new front cover o-ring, new front main seal, and rear main seal.

pans installed

intake manifold cleaned, throttle body cleaned and screws were threadlocked, new gasket.

new injector o-rings, fuel rail cleaned and reinstalled.

Started disconnecting some stuff on the B13 today and I noticed his tranny was leaking pretty bad...looks like it's from linkage area. Also some other hoses are pretty crispy like the radiator hoses. I'm sure I'll find some other stuff the more I tear into her.

Some Updates:
Since the car has been sitting, the Radiator hoses have been replaced as well as the Axle seals. I might have to get some exhaust rubbers..probably fell off the hangers and never bothered to check them. I also have to replace the powersteering hoses as well. ALthough it is taking longer than expected and costing more, im super glad Robert is taking the time to make it right. It will be that much easier to drop my DE build when the time is right. For now, VVL will suffice. Oh yeah, probably gonna ditch the SSAC header(the one that gave me 155WHP) and get a custom one made up to match my 3" Strumung piping and Apex WS2 Muffler.
