WARNING TO ALL INTERESTED BUYERS
im telling you now, i PERSONALLY took a look at this car hoping to buy it. but i had to walk away from it.
IT WAS NOTHING like i expected. the interior IS NOT a 10/10. its more like a 7/10. the drivers seat is worn and leans to the left a little bit, both sun visors are worn/bent/tearing. and the headliner towards the rear is tearing/falling off. the steering wheel isnt aligned straight (car DOES NOT need an alignment, steering wheel was put on with the wheel turned) and there are random switches around the car that were used to 'activate the vvl' before he put the MSS in.
the exterior isnt soo nice either. the passenger side has been keyed saying "F*** you B****" and long key marks along the side. and the paint DOES NOT look as good as it does in the pictures.
the guy told me it had Tein SS coilovers. there are not SS's, they ARE basics.
He "replaced the clutch cable" however the cable he replaced the oem with looks cheap. and doesnt even have a thumbwheel. and the clutch feel is horrible.the feel when you depress the clutch is lighter than the gas pedal. upon clutch engagement, the bottom half is extremely light (almost like it is going to stick) and then the top half starts to kick your foot out. the shifter feels notchy and flimsy.
but mechanically, the car runs good. it has A/C. but the guy says it need a tune (which i think so too)
and to those who care about mileage: the odometer and speedometer DOES NOT work (the RPM works) so the mileage is stuck somewhere around 157,XXX. i ran a carfax on the car and it said the car had 191,XXX from the previous owner and also the VIN he provided me shows that the car IS A 96' NOT A 95' (for those of you that worry about smog/emissions. I informed the current owner about this issue and he has changed the mileage on the ad. so buyer beware, the car's mileage may be higher the 191,xxx
Hopefully someone interested in the car reads this.
This post is not intended to offend the owner of the car, it is ment to inform those who are truly interested in the car.

lol... i tried one time stating my opinion to "INFORM" potential buyers especially ones that had to travel considerably to look at the specific vehicle....I ended up having my shit deleted by mods for some reason!
Anyway.... i saw this listing when it first posted . He actually lives a few miles away from me ... Just seemed to fishy when i spoke to the guy to even bother going to take a look..
Good info Barney...Guess it was to good to be true!
Did you at least make him an offer? I offered him $2500 without looking at it.

yeah i offered him $2500 on the spot. he said no, so i walked away with my money. However he texted me 30 mins after asking "how about 2800". i said no, so i guess he'll still take 2800 for it.

So you guys are saying his car is not worth $2800. Now granted it does need a little TLC but it is worth it.

VVL motor $800
JWT ECU $300
SR16VE CAMS $300
Header $50
Tein coliovers $700
Flywheel and clutch $300
G Spec pullies $100
Swaybars and strutbars $150
Engine mounts $50
Greddy timer $60
Siny CD radio $50

Thats $2860 in used parts prices.

I am not saying to part the car out but, if I was there that car would get bought and parted out.

B14 trans $400
Wire harness $100
200SX SER wheels and tires $300
radiator $50
starter and alternator $100
Lucino grill $50

Thats $1000 in parts already and there is still another $600 to go easy.

If the car is clean enough and has no rust and someone needs a car then $300-$400 should get it up to par.

Not bad in my opinion.

^ thats true but you also have to think this. if he didnt put the car together right, the engine coudl be clsoe to toast, he could of wired the ecu in wrong and causing it to short out over time, could have a tranny thats goign out from the idiot riding it to hard. Its not just about the parts, its about how baddly did the dude who doesnt know what hes doing fuck up the parts when he installed them and instaled them wrong. Its not always the value of the parts that make it worth it.
