Thread: the last DET for me thread

In this thread i will give info and show pictures of my last det set-up.

A little history about me:

I have owned 6 b13's. (4 SE-R's)
I've tried all motor, Nitrous, T25's, T25's on nitrous, and the last set-up which was t3/t4 on a de.
I've done track but never really liked it. not for me.
Im a money maker. I love to have that adrenaline rush... hell, I street race and have raced for more then 6 years.
I have broken numerous amounts of trannys, axles, and 5 motors.


As of right now, my SE-R is blown. the t3/t4 de will be replaced with a gti-r engine. i saw Miguel's and Oscar's IR set-ups and decided it was time for me to jump on the bandwagon. I have several extras that will be added to the car as this thread continues.

Why did i put it on the west section you say? Because us CALI people stick together. And i want you guys to see my progress on my b13 as i continue.

If you guys see im doing something wrong, or if you just have plain advice with the way im doing the work, Go ahead and chime in. Let me know what i should do to make it better.

Dont know if you guys have seen what was my brother's b13, well it has been mine for a little over 3 months.



Any comments or suggestions before starting the swap please let me know....

So far i have ordered the prothane mounts, i will order an ACT SS clutch kit, and little misc. stuff. thanks guys. :biggthump

As the title says on the thread... This will be my LAST DET. if it would ever dump, I will just go N/A.

And no, if i wanted to go VVL i'd just get a honda.

Sounds like a good plan.

I would suggest a koyo radiator to help fight water temps as overheating can pop a motor in no time.

Some aftermarket gauges would help as well to keep an eye on what's going on.

Mexican- I have LOTS OF HISTORY. LOL

Dave- Im in the process of picking up parts for cooling along with monitoring. I'm getting a great discount at my job for some autometer gauges and such.

Cesar- I'll definately give you a holla... this time though, i dont think i will touch a beer. lol

maybe you should drive slower and not abuse your baby!

wait that sounds..... never mind.

check this out though... I never really abuse my motors when driving normally. I only abuse it when it needs abuse. thats when **** breaks. lol but im starting to learn all this tuning ****. never gave a **** about it before.
