Painted engines belong in classic cars & semi trucks. If I did it I would keep it silver so it would still look original but it would have a nice shine to it for a nice clean look.

Ported Head (Gasket Match only ports)
Franklin 20v Intake Cam / Nissan OEM N1 Exhaust Cam
BC Valve Springs & Retainers
CS Power Steering Delete / Gspec Crank & Water Pump Pulley

Building Bottom ????? What do I need????
( Want to keep 86mm higher CR)

valve springs, 20v pistons maybe forged rods and call it a day.

Yea I'm leaning towards 20V Pistons. Where is a good place to take my block to get decked locally.
While I'm down there what else should I do?? Bearings, oil pump, ?? ??

20v pistons dont work will in VE apps. they are designed around the new "20v" engine which its more efficent and just a much better motor then 1st gen VEs. just get N1 pistons, rings and some ACL bearings
