So the sentra got towed from in front of Mac's house a little over a week ago, I called them and the bill for towing and impound is already at $1k and I can't afford that. I am responsible 'cause Mac never registered it and I never filled out a release of liability. What are my options? To get it back I need to pay the bill, have current registration that's a year expired and get a release from Temecula CHP. they have a lein on it.

It's at $1k already?!!! damn, what a rip off. you might as well let them lien sell it. but they're going to come after you for the difference in their fees and what they sell it for.

yeah same thing happened with my sis eg hatch, chp chrged her the towing, storage, & there bs fee's..so it went from 1k to 3k..you better off paying reg & 1k fees..

they cant hold anyone responsible for the fees if they lien sell it. thats the point of lien selling it. theye just trying to pressure him into paying it cause thell make more money. ive done lots of lien sales and you cant back charge anyone.
