I took the B14 to a transmission shop and hes charging me $1200 to fully rebuild the tranny what do you guys think??

I think that is way too much your probably better off finding a p11 or b15 tranny

Does it include a titanium gearset and case?

Yes you're getting ripped off.

Do yourself a favor and buy a P11/B15 tranny. You're going to pay about the same, if not a little less, and have a stronger tranny to begin with.

Where did you go? One of those self owned shops with 3 techs? lol they always trying to rip ppl.

First off what is wrong with your tranny? Whay are you rebuilding it?

If you are trying to make it stronger for turbo, what you are doing is a waste of time. Just get a 00-02 P11 tranny for turbo

Look at it like this.

$300 to pull your tranny out and put it back in.

$900 is left over.

You can buy a B14 tranny that is good for $400

So install and B14 tranny $700

my tranny is an auto (i know, im looking into buying a 2dr 5 speed B14), anyway I went to warm up the car on monday and when I did the transmission oil gushed out on the floor, he told me that the part that goes inside of the tranny is messed up

the neck of that part is grinding away

The key broke off the pump inside, it's a dead tranny. No way I'd pay $1200 for a rebuild though.

Save yourself the headache, do what I did and get a manual swap going.

I asked the guy if he could do that instead he quoted me about 3 grand and he said he wouldn't guarantee the work
