Need help registering an out-of-state B13!
To make a long story short, the JDM engine I just bought for my B13 was garbage, so since I need to swap it again I just wanna throw in a VE. My problem is that it's a Nevada car and I haven't registered it here, so it's going to have to go through a visual inspection (which includes smog). So do any of you have any clue how I can get away with swapping in the VE and being able to pass the inspection so I'm able to register the car? I'm sure there's someone around here that has bought an out-of-state vehicle that has had a not-so-legal engine and have found a way around it.

Help a brotha out here! Feel free to PM me.

You could fab up a EGR system and install it. Prob won't be cheap since you have to weld crap. Saw a guy do that for his RB25DET swap and he passed smog since they only do the idle/rev test out there.

Negaitve, Mac. I just got the letter from DMV yesterday stating that I need to pass visual inspection and THEN smog.

Looks like I'm just swapping in another JDM, focusing suspension, brakes, etc., and doing the VE swap at a later time...

The visual inspection is at the DMV. They are going to check to make sure the Vin number is under the hood. I remember doing something like that when I brought my car back from Oregon.
