Energy Suspension Strut Boots
You might want to consider adding these universal strut boots to the master suspension thread. They are a much cheaper option than a set of 4 front OEM boots.

Energy Suspension part number is 9.8130. They come in a variety of colors. They can be found for as cheap as $20 shipped for a set of 4.

I used them on KYB AGX; not sure how well they will work with other struts. I pulled them on over the Koni bumpstops and all of the way down to the base of the strut. I then loosely ziptied them right under the "lip" on the strut. Do not pull the ziptie super tight, as it will prevent the boot from turning as the shaft turns.

Time will tell how well they hold up, but they seem to be well-constructed.

I didn't take any pics of my install, sorry.

even tough I didn't help installing it, but I was there when he installed it. a good way to protect the strut.

I bought some of these but couldn't figure out how to make them work. So, you pulled the upper end (in the picture) down over the top of the damper? Do the boots collapse at full compression without binding up? If so, they should last pretty well, I would think.

Yeah, I pulled the "big end" of the boot down over the damper... down to where the bottom insulator sits. The "little end" is smaller than the Koni bumper, so the boot seems to work and covers the entire interior of the assembly. The boot might bind a little at full compression, but I don't track my car, so full compression is only going to happen when I hit an unforseen pothole. If the boot is too long for you racers, you could always cut a few of the rings off of it.

If the bumper manages to wiggle it way out of the boot, I'll ziptie the boot to the bumper.

Looks good. If they come in black they'll be perfect.

I have black ones on my car. Part number for black is 9.8130G.

They are $20 shipped for a set of 4 from eautoworks.com. Fast shipping from those guys, too.
