Fastbrakes 11in Dynapro BABK
Does anyone have any feedback on this kit? I haven't seen a post with anyone running these 6 piston Dynapro Wilwoods.

At 11in, I'm also interested if they'll fit under 15in rims... I'm including the stock B14 rims (w/ or w/out spacers).

Over 100 views for this thread, but no feedback? I guess no one has tried this kit yet?

Most of use are running the Dynalite (4-piston) setup. I know Miko has some huge brakes, but not sure which caliper...
Unless you're after a look, I have to say that the stock setup with the right pads is fine for N/A and the 4-piston setups are plenty for forced induction (again, pad dependent).

I agree with Ben. I race a NX with stock brakes and Carbotech pads. It will slow from 127mph to about 60 in 120ft at Road Atlanta and do it lap after lap. You will never use brake like we do on the street. I have a Panoz GTWC and I have 4 piston Brembo's on it. 6 piston caliper is overkill on street cars.

It was more out of curiosity that I asked. I hadn't seen that kit listed before, and I was wondering if the 6 piston Dynapro had any real advantages over the 4 Superlite or Dynalite (more even pad wear, stiffer design, ability to run a smaller rim since smaller pistons in the caliper, ect)? This is for a street car (heavy) with BFG Rivals on 16in SSR Type Cs. The brakes probably get the most punishment on mountain roads since I've never tracked it - just autocrossed it.

I did the AD22VF upgrade years and years ago and it'll soon be time for a rebuild/replacement of the system soon, so I'm exploring my options. The biggest positive in staying with the NX brakes is that they fit under the stock 15in B14 wheels (my winter tire rim, and I just got new blizzak ws80s last season, so I really don't want to go with a larger rim). The NXs don't overheat like the stock system did, but they're heavy.

Looking at the kit again, it's using solid rotors... is there a 2 piece floating rotor kit that'll fit under the stock B14 rims?
@BenFenner - thanks for the input, what kit beyond the NX would you suggest for a turbo'd setup?
@rioredstang - how heavy is your NX on track? What pads do you run? What type of temps are you seeing?

Thx for the feedback guys.

My NX is 2550lbs with me in it. I run Carbotech pads they have great bite and last very well. I don't check temps because I never have fade plus we have to run the stock system. I keep a set of pads and rotors ready so I can run them down to nothing then put them on.
They cost alittle more than street pads, about $250 per axle. Just driving on the street they should last a long time. They also have track/street pads. I use XP10 which is a race pad. You can call and talk to the tech guy to find out about the other pads and prices.

If you need to make sure they fit under the B14 wheels, you're basically stuck with the NX setup as your best option. The weight is there which sucks I guess, but you will be fine avoiding fade with the right pad. Jump all the way up to the Hawk HT10 pad if you have to, like I did on the BMW. It seems to be the only real dual-purpose street/track pad out there. Your only downsides are noise (squeal when cold) and moderate-to-high dust.

If you're okay with a larger caliper, this is the front kit most of us went with and is still the kit I would recommend if you want to upgrade from the NX setup: 1991-1994 Nissan Sentra/NX, Pulsar GTiR 11" 4 piston performance economy big brake kit
You used to be able to get it with a 2-piece floating rotor, and I bet you still can if you call and ask. Price will go up accordingly.

Cheers.

Yes it's a good kit. I think I have a kit on the shelf that I got with my NX. I couldn't use it on my car.
