They won't fit under a 2.5" spring.

I'm still a noob with Koni products, so I may not be the best person to give you advice on which inserts to choose, but I do know the 8611 are double adjustable, and better suited for track use. If you're looking for the 8611 insert that's dimensionally the same as the ones I have on the rear, its part # 8611-1262 Race (however, all the dimensions of 8611-1259 Race are the same...not sure what's different between the two).

More info on page 13: http://www.koni-na.com/pdf/KONI_Motorsports_2008.pdf

Edit: If I would have actually read the catalog, I'd see that the 1262 insert is made for higher spring rates

Those were the special run back in the day. You would hav to have them revalved to match that spec. What is the front rate going to be?

They all have a flat head screw adjuster. The old Shigspeed setups had an allen key adjuster that fit into that slot. He used the same length insert in different length tubes.

Yes, yes you helped by sending me an insert to expedite the process of measuring the tubes and such. Brent is the man!

I am not in the market for these since I already have a set of 8611s on my race car but I wanted to give a shout out and props for a nice looking product at a very reasonable price! Kudos to you Serban!

Thanks Russell! I hear the 8611s are really nice for the track, but they would be total overkill for my street car, plus a lot more expensive.

Same here. If I were in the market, I'd be on these for sure. Great work Serban.
