The suspension design itself seems a little better than a regular macpherson to me... I am not a fan of the brake based tq-vectoring though. I'd like to see how this suspension behaves with an actual LSD from Mountune etc.

Plenty of "FiSt'er's" have voided the manufacturer warranty by installing a real LSD, have they not? I do not know of anyone near me that has done so but I am sure some folks have done it by now.

I am sure some have by now. @Benito Malito would be better informed than I am on that topic. Lack of a proper LSD is an unfortunate oversight on many, otherwise lovely cars lately.

And this also. Thank you for that statement, Randy.

It is just cheaper to run a wire and take control over your brakes rather than invent some device that can handle the job.

@Kyle, I have a feeling not too many are running proper mechanical LSDs as from what I am seeing, the Ford Torque Vectoring actually works pretty good!

With how Ford does it, I cannot see how it would not work well. That is not the issue for me. Plenty of YouTube videos show that it works and I see that it works well.

I simply do not like the idea of my brakes being toyed with when I am driving the car. @ny5speed and I are in the same boat on that one.

The new wrx uses a brake based tq-vectoring system too (as is lacks both front and rear LSD... boo) but in the real world it actually works very well. I have thrashed my buddy's 2015 through the mountains on a few occasions and the system is both imperceptible and confidence inspiring. The main complaint I have heard about the brake based systems is that they can very quickly fade the brakes in track conditions (see Randy Pobst talking about the FoST in one of the recent BDC competitions).

Back to the subject at hand. Dat revo-knuckle doe

At least they tried to fix it somewhat mechanically with a new strut design. Subaru just left the same exact strut up front and said eh we'll do it electronically. Though AWD makes it be less picky too.

We'll see how well Ford AWD fiesta's/Focuses do. If they make a Fusion AWD, and turbo I might switch away from Subaru myself.

They have had awd turbo fusions since 2013. All auto though.

..........And the fFcus RS is on the way as well!

Never liked a Ford, but that one has piqued my interest!

Sorry for the threadjack!
