Brake problems
I am trying to help a neighbor with a P10.
He bought the car from me a few months ago,and its been great until now.
The pedal goes about halfway down to the floor and it needs a couple pumps to get firm.
He said it was low on fluid, almost empty, and he topped it off( I found the wire diusconnected for the warning light)
Since the dummy light didnt work,I figured he has sprung a fluid leak somewhere and possibly sucked in air before he noticed.

So today I took all 4 wheels off and looked for leaks...cant find any.
Then I bled the whole system out completely .I didnt have any issues,no air came out of any calipers, but the fluid was a little dirty. Now its all fresh

I took the car for a test drive, and it has not changed anything.
I get barely any pedal until I pump it a couple times and then its ok,but not great.

I am lkeaning towards the MC going bad and possibly leaking into the booster since I can see any leaks anywhere on the calipers, lines,ABS module,or MC.

Now the ABS light is on all the time, but up until now the brakes functioned normally(but no abs obviously)

Any help on this would be great,as this neighbor is poor as hell and on a fixed(govt) income. I am trying to fix this without just replacing parts until its fixed.I want to know what the problem is 100% if possible.
Thanks

Thanks
Brakes are important!...Thats one of the few problems that can kill you and others if it fails so I take it seriously.I sold the car to him and I would feel terrible if something happened first of all..lolWell I am married to this car I guess.Thats what I get for selling a car to a neighbor,I suppose.
I figured in the long run, since it was an sr20 I could at least help him keep it on the road cheaply for quite a while...but the car needs some tlc.

My problem ended up being a bent dust shield. Trimmed and all good
