my bad i wasnt payin attention to details i will continue to google and update here instead

still available in a few colors, currently 99 bucks give or take, 15-6.5, and amazon says they are 13.2 pounds but thats gotta be wrong i think thats including the box and everything

most web sites state 11.2 pounds

hard to beat a 11 pound wheel under 100 bucks, ive run slicks on mine a few times and havent broken one yet.

GoodWin Racing is a good resource for finding a wide selection of 15" wheels.

And the Wheel & Tire section of miata.net has a ton of lightweight wheel chatter.

Oh, and one more thing.... a post I made to the Miata forum:

I'll throw a few real world numbers in, direct from my digital bathroom scale.

Kosei K1 15x7 - Toyo RA1 195/50-15 33.5lbs
949 Racing 15x8* - Hankook RS2 225/45-15 32lbs
Enkei RPF1 15x7 - BFG GForce Sport 205/50-15 29lbs

The 949's with the big Hankooks were a real surprise compare to my K1's. I would have thought for sure they'd be heavier. As much as I love the RPF1's, they've got no room at all for big brakes. They won't even fit over the NB Sport Brakes on my 94 R-Pkg.

*1st Gen 949's. Not sure if the current Gen2's are lighter.

What are you going for - RPF1 Look great. Same as TE37. K1's are a great bang for the buck. The 949 were a good price also IIRC

Also SSR Type X if you can find them fit good.

I've got two-dozen or so lightweight wheels listed. Forged, MAT flow formed, and cast. Some new, some old, some discontinued.

Looking those over, I just cannot justify spending the money for forged wheels. Not with the new wheels coming out using MAT flow forming technology and tipping the scales at 10-11 pounds.

It's a good time to be in the market for lightweight wheels when Konig, Advanti, and Traklite are all spitting out 110-140 dollar wheels utilizing the same exact technology used in a Enkei RPF1 that cost $200'ish. And they and the RPF1's are all just about as strong and light as a forged wheel for 1/2 to 1/5 the price.

Any reason why you are not willing to go over 7 inch. Ive found better performance at autox from wider rims ie 195 and 205s stretched onto 7.5 inch rim for stc sts cars. If the rules allowed it I'd run a 225 tire stretched onto a 15*9

So far I've been sticking with what I know will bolt-on to our cars, and will not rub with conventional springs and struts. I *thought* that anything much beyond a 7" rim will only work with a coilover (?).

I honestly don't know that much about rims. Never really looked into them before beyond my Wheels section in The Suspension thread. Had to go back to The Suspension Thread to refresh my memory before I even started this thread. I went from B13 to B14 SE-R wheels (205/50's) and that concluded my personal experience.

I do pay enough attention to wheels to know that *most* people are running lightweight wheels that fit my stated criteria and specifications on their vehicles. Like @eggman above.

Please feel free to educate me further on my lightweight options. I'd appreciate your input.

Right now, that Advanti Storm and Konig Dial In are looking ridiculously affordable, strong, and lightweight. I don't understand how Advan, Enkei, and Weds are going to keep charging $200+ for flow formed wheels.

Speedmaster SM-046 (SSR Type C copies) 15x6.5 +38mm 11.8lbs (I have a set and love the gunmetal with polished lip) - haven't seen these sold anywhere recently - about $100 each
Nippon Type C (another SSR Type C copy) 15x6.5 +40mm/+38mm ?lbs - Still being sold on ebay - <$80 (not sure of the quality at that price)

Remember that 1 lb on the wheel is worth about 10 on the car due to the wheels rotational Inertia. We took 0.4 seconds off of Mike Saiki’s ¼ mile time just by going from 16 inch Axis wheels to 15 inch TE37’s. The difference is all in the wheel weight and tire diameter.

Upon re-reading that (again), I should include the 7.5" width on my list because they will fit on the B14/15 so I'll go back and find those sizes/weights/offsets where applicable.

i could have sworn that the 15x8 6ul would kit conventional strut and springs. I'll have to double check one day and test fit them on my bro in law's NX.
