Only one one out of two planes required are in line on Matt's design. Basically, imagine the LCA made with the traction bar attachment point. There are now two pivot points that are fighting each other at the rear, lower inner control arm. There are two, rear, inner control arm points. That is binding, and eventually something else will break during street or racing situation involving loads (not necessarily Matt's arms but something else on the car!) Matt does a lot of drag racing so I would not expect his to fail on him because this works great for his purpose, straight line sticking fury.
Same thing with white steves arms but if you imagine those LCA to chassis points, the shape is even more weird and causes binding.
EDIT: But this works great when traveling in a straight line! Hook and go!
