Yeah, I'm not crazy about it either. I'll be picking up some stock shocks so I can get the mounting brackets and modify the Tein threaded body to work with the B13 spindles. I'll probably do something about the front too. I'm not crazy about the spacing and the angle difference.

So if u had camber plates the s13 housings would work?? The camber plates would allow you to get the spacing correct again.

The car has ground control camber plates.

Has anyone had first hand experience with replacing the inserts on the Shocktek struts? It looks like a regular Bilstein insert for an E30 BMW. Do you guys know if any modification went into the insert itself so it could be used with the outer casing?

I pulled one of the front struts apart, and can't tell if its just an off the shelf 40mm Bilstein insert, or if it's been modified? I'd like to keep this setup and replace all the inserts as time and funds allow.

There's a thin rod, and an allen head bolt that go in there, I'm guessing to adjust the dampening.

Any input?

I'll check with Bilstein next week, I was just curious if anyone knows anything

They physically fit, but I don't know how the spacing, or angle would affect things. I've only driven the car around a few miles.

Bilstein confirmed that the shocks I have are not an off the shelf item. Would have been so much easier if they were. The shaft is modified to take that adjuster rod. Not sure if they're valved differently internally.

These will get put on the back burner, the way way back burner. Maybe some day I'll do something with them

@Blair or @Fatboyse-r may be able to give you more info on the Shocktek stuff.
