Thread: Re-sealing power steer rack & pinion ?

Is there any how to's ? I've searched all over can't seem to find anything.

Reason why is my rack is leaking from both boots. & I already tried replacing the whole rack but one of the fittings are seized. Tried calling nissan & various auto part places to see if they had this piece but no luck. So just hoping is there any type of walk through

I have a Edelmann 8880 seal kit if that helps

I don't know any how to's. You may research in a how-to for another car. I'm posting because I have an alternative and it would make you work less. You just have to spend about $150-160, if you can afford to do that. Call up rack doctor and get a remanned rack. You send your own in and they give you one w/ the tie rods. So you pretty much just bolt that in and get an alignment and you're rolling. I haven't done this, but I will be going this route.
