putting suspension together Q's
So im putting my suspension together at my buddy's work on thursday and I have a few questions. So my setup is agx/hypercoils, all new boots, spring perch pads, bearings for the front and bump stops. Now my questions are when installing the hypercoils they go in tight coils up? The rear boots have built in bump stops any suggestion on those? Should I cut them off and use my bumps or leave the oem ones in the rear. Any other helpful tips would be nice, I've seen a thread about using 1/2" hose on the springs but is this neccesary with the new spring perch pads? Thanks Dave

What bumpstops do you have? I have konis and I sort of bored out the rubber bumpstops and fit the konis in. I actually just picked up some long generic boots on amazon since my stocks are falling apart anyway.

The better way is with the stacked coils up, so that when they are stacked they don't add to the un-sprung mass on the LCA, but they will work either way.

I'm sure you will be ok with new perch pads, the hose thing can be pretty difficult.

It sounds like you have it pretty well figured out.

I've got es bump stops for the time being, I know there not the best for the application but greg couldn't get his hands on the koni's at the time and I wanted to get everything together. Koni's will be swapped in the future. Do you remember where you picked yours up? Thanks for the enlightenment, I've been reading through the suspension thread to brush up on things and just wanted to ask quickly before i get this together. Thanks Dave

Leave the rear bumpstops alone. The front are the ones that should be modified. Just like damn near everything else on a Sentra chassis.
