AD22VF Brake Pad issue
I have ran the NX brake upgrade on multiple sentras for years, and never had a problem but recently, my uncle (which bought one of my sentras from me) had a brake pad completely slip out between the rotor and bracket and go missing, but the brake pads were only about 8 months old and had maybe 5k miles on them.

he has aftermarket pads and rotors on the vehicle, the last set of pads were factory nissan and he ran those metal to metal into the rotor, which was also nissan.

my question is, has anyone had this happen before, and if so would it be a pad issue or rotor?

reading this, I think its possible the Non abs NX brake rotors are installed.

but then also reading through other threads, people say as long as you order the nx brakes with abs, the aftermarket stuff shouldnt be an issue.

Did one of the caliper bolts break, allowing the piston to slide about?

alright well I finally got my parts from Greg V (who is the all time reigning champion in my book for getting me great parts) and I found out the pads were correct, but like in that brake thread, the rotors were incorrect, these are what i put on quick originally (from Napa i believe, im sure my parts guy from work got the non abs NX brake rotors Ill check part numbers in the AM) then with a comparison to the rotors i got from Greg V.

Huge difference in thickness and rotor is slightly taller as well

It was a little hard to line these up and snap a pic but the rotor was about 1/4" bigger all around.

So as a reminder, which i dont know why the hell I didnt do this, but if you have AD22's make sure the rotors your getting are correct, or just order from Greg V!
