P/S Delete
Going to be deleting p/s in my b14 using the gspec delete kit. Was wondering how everyone was looping the lines on the rack. Any pics or input would be appreciated.

All you U hose and clamps. Clamp one side down and fill the hose with fluid then clamp the other side down. If you still need help i'll take a picture for you later

if you are lazy then just loop them up near the ac lines. it looks sloppy but is easy to add fluid and check for leaks.

you could always empty out your ps pump instead of buying the gspec kit. this lets you retain the tensioning function of the ps pump without all the parasitic loss it causes. of course this is only 1-2 whp max but its free.

I just used a shorty belt between the water pump and crank. No dummy/tensioner needed. Been DD'ing it for the past 2 years that way. As for the rack. There is no need to keep fluid in the rack. Only reason to loop lines is to try and keep dirt out but that area really doesn't see much contamination imo. You can just leave everything open or run lines if you want. Just remember any fluid you leave in there will make the steering effort much harder then it needs to be....

Can/will you elaborate on parts needed for this? Last I heard this was kept secret so a few could make money off of the brackets needed. I would love to be able to clean the bay up even more!

If you have no PS pump and only run a untensioned belt to the water pump the area is completely open.

You have to delete PS to use the rear mount alt.

Its not hard to fab up if you have the motor our of the car and some time on your hands. Miko's bracket is not that expensive when you look at what is involved with design and execution. I have a few improvements that i would make to mine but i think Miko's are good. Just buy the bracket and a RWD alt and call it a day. I am not sure it would be much more expensive than the CS PS delete. The CS PS delete is a nice piece, i had one on my old motor, but the rear mount alt is way better.
