Springs for Koni's w/ GC Coilovers B13 ...a little help, please.
I am in the process of putting together GC coilovers with CSK. (Spec-V's all the way around.)

I picked up B13 GC coilover kit on Ebay. The springs are both 7'' with spring rates of 200 & 300.

My options are: 1. try them like they are, even though I think the rate is a little low, and I think the 7'' spring is too short for the front.

2. Keep the spring rates as they are, and buy a 10x300 for the front.

3. Run the 7x300 on the rear, and buy I dunno...8x350 on the front.

I've been reading suspension threads until my head is spinning. Originally, I was planning on doing 350lbs w/ 8 inch spring in front, and 300 w/ 7 inch in the rear. Then I saw the setup on Ebay & I saved $130!!! Which is almost exactly the price of the two springs that I am going to probably end up buying.

This is my daily driver, and I don't want it to be too horribly uncomfortable. I say that I want to try to autocross or take it to the track, but I have owned it for three years, and I have done neither. I just want my car to have a firm ride that doesn't bottom out when entering a driveway. Oh, and it should handle like a racecar. Think M3, that's what you should be benchmarking.

What do you think?

Thanks a lot!!!

Thanks for the reply. I guess my original post was kinda long. What I really wanted to ask was:

Best spring length/rate for b13 sentra w/ koni spec v and GC coil over.

Thanks

If it was my daily driver, I would keep it stock.

Best spring rate is the highest one you can withstand.

do not go together. FWIW all the racecars run really high rates. Mine is at 500/600 and it's too soft!

I was kind of being a smartass when I said "racecar.' I know there is a tradeoff with spring rate and comfort.

I should've said handle like a high performance European sedan. If you've ever driven an E46 M3, that's what I'm talking about.
Handles great + reasonable ride

Right now (stock w/ worn out shocks & disintegrated bushings)...The ride is bad and it handles like crap.

I tell everyone that I want my car to be a racecar, but I'm mostly kidding. A real racecar would be a horrible daily driver.

BTW I'm going with 350/300.

Thanks for the help!

Oops, I was typing too fast...I meant E36, although E46 would probably be about the same.
