Thread: B13 Maxima Rear Brake Upgrade Issues

On a cool note, this was my awesome Christmas present:





Rotors are definitely correct, they measure 10.1 inches and are 4x100.
Calipers, brackets, pads came from pull-a-part off a 94 Maxima SE. Looks to me like the brackets are wrong because nearly a half inch of the pad isn't being used. I thought this was supposed to be the correct year though?

You have the right size rotor (258mm) and the right year Maxima caliper (1992-1994) so I wonder if the previous Maxima owner didn't do some sort of swap or upgrade to the brackets and or calipers. I've got a B13 with Maxima rears, and from your picture of the rotor on the hub, something definitely doesn't look right.

Well I didn't exactly picture my calipers but I will post some pics of them tonight. I have no idea what's going on here, according to the interwebz everything should bolt up/line up just fine.

94 use 2 different rotors, before 2/94 use the 10"(258mm) while the 2-94+ use the 278mm rotors.

Okay that makes sense, so I probably got the bracket for the 278mm rotors. I'll make a trip back out to pull-a-part and get some different brackets tomorrow. I can use a P10 rear caliper bracket too, correct?
