CSK/hypercoil suspension issues/questions/problems. 56Kwarning
used new everything except for housings and the insulator/tophats.
Did I screw this up assembling it? This just doesn't look right. First of all do I need to align this more accurately with the top mounts pointing exactly out or will an alignment fix this later?
YES I put the thrust bearings in upside down and out of order...
Second I'm having this bolt contact issue on both sides. The bolt on the left clearly hits the top spring perch, while the other two have plenty of clearance (the one on the right is 1/2" from anything). As far as I can tell I put the right one on the right side and the left one on the left side and the triangle bolt pattern on top seems to match. Will this go away once the suspension is under load or did I flip something around. This is the same strut in picture #1 btw the bolt in question is the one farthest to the left.
This is the bottom of the same strut, using a 5mm spacer per Steve's instructions. Did I just get really fat washers from Koni, they're domed on the other side (I assume to match the curved surface of the housing.)
The last issue I think I'm going to have is clearance for the Progress Sway bar in the rear. Rough measurement has this protruding about 9/16th of an inch or so from the bottom of the. This is installed following Koni's normal instructions (per Steve's instructions). Does this look similar to anyone elses? I've searched and there's lots of pictures of the actual csk part of the build but very little regarding the assmebly. Everything kosher or have I screwed it all up and have to pull it off and do it again.
Thanks for the help
