The sway bar end links, also have to be unhooked. While this may sound minor, be prepared to replace the end link bolts if it hasn't been off in a while. They tend to snap easily if they're rusty.
I used the 2 box wrench trick to get my joints loose. You basically use the nut on the ball joint against the second (smaller) wrench and pinch it against the knuckle and then loosen the nut so the pressure forces the taper part free. There's a write up somewhere, if you search for it.
Bushings are fairly easy. I used a bench vise to press them in. The threaded rod/big washer method works, as well. I used that for the rear trailing arm bushings.
