Plus, there are much cheaper, better suited options out there (not trying to knock you, just my observance). He is already halfway there with the motivational housings and such

Boostlee, I've been told the ME's can't be rebuilt and they won't accept the 8611's. The ME's run Koni reds...smaller diameter. Correct?

Mark, ask Greg Amy what setup he had in the red car. Tim Rogers might still have those from the old shell.

Motivational back 15 years ago insert isn't all that great. iirc they were the regular B13 reds atleast the ones i had were. another thing that isnt great is that they epoxy the insert to the housings, which makes the housing useless if worn out.
This is what I was told as well. They are reds...single adjustability and only when off the car (push down and turn the shaft to adjust).

Thanks Eric, I will.

Currently 300f/250r. I want to jump to 500 or 600 all the way around. Probably even higher in the rear.

I found those last night and a couple people have had good things to say about them. I will look into it as an option.

I rode in Ray's B14 up at Pocono a few weeks back. He's running 1000f 1200r with custom valved Konis. It really handled well. And honestly it wasn't as harsh as you'd think it would be. He wasn't the least bit shy about whackin' the curbs and such. I think Greg Amy had similar spring rates on the old 33 NX.

As long as they don't make you drive like Todd

Eric, I actually was talking to Jamie about that set last night. From my research, it doesn't appear to provide enough dampening for the spring rates I would like to run (500-600 in all 4 corners). But thank you!

The Progress setup doesn't have nearly enough rebound for track use and lacks adjustability.

I'm at 500/600, and if I had a better cage would be going higher. Right now the tub has become a spring.

Yes, 33 was in the 4 digit rates as well as a full on Speedway torsionbar rear sway.

not trying to start anything, but has anyone checked out this thread lately? All you need to know about suspension

What's you guyss/girls' opinion on this? it seems like that thread prefer BC coilovers, megan...etc over CSK. If that's the case, it's cheaper. After researching CSK for months and then when I was about to buy a set, I stumbled upon that thread and now I'm confused again...lol.

The last two summers I've run Koni 8610 inserts/custom housings with 650 lb F and 500 lb R springs. Mark, I think you're going to want more than that. I'm considering increasing the rear significantly for next season.

I have previously praised the CSK/GC and progress setups as being the best option for the sentra.

I'm going to here repeal my beliefs, and go very much against a lot of that thread, for several reasons. I am by no means saying that the CSK/GC and progress setups suck, because they don't. there are very high quality parts used in the manufacturing of these setups. but there are some major design flaws that should be addressed for you before you go on taking the advice of "those who know better" without knowing all the facts.

these two "top" choices are very dated in their technology and are frankly almost not worth the money anymore (personal opinion). The reason I say this is because coilover technology has taken a rather large, yet simple step towards something call a fully threaded coilover. this means that the lower bracket from which the assembly bolts to the steering knucklet can also be threaded up and down to change the height of the car WITHOUT AFFECTING SUSPENSION TRAVEL. ground control and progress setups require you to alter the height of the car by lowering the spring perch and thus lessening the travel of the suspension. if you read that thread, they continuously bring up suspension travel and such, yet perpetrate counter productive options. these options do not have the twin adjustability of the modern coilover.

Quoted for ???

@Kyle be careful last time I said BC was a better deal (esp for the money) then GC/CSK/ground control I got beef.
