Thread: Ride quality for B14 with AGX/Ground Control Suspension

I'm trying to get info on the ride quality running my B14 on KYB AGX with Eibach Ground Control. Searched but can't find much.
Right now i'm running stock KYB GR2 with road magnets and they are very good as a daily driver. But i would like to be able to adjust my ride height and get better quality struts, this is why i'm opting for GC.

I'm not considering coilovers as i heard the ride quailty can be quite harsh and at times my mom rolls with me. Also can if get a comparison between the B14 stock/RM and AGX/GC ride quality/Spring rate, i would really appreciate it

I can't comment on the GR2/Road magnets but I will say this.

On my B14's I have used Tokico, GABB, GR2 and AGX. In my opinion, it comes down to what spring rate you use, where you have the AGX's set and what your idea of a good/bad ride is.

My idea - bouncing not cool. Bottoming out, not cool. Somewhat smooth yet stiff and predictable - good.

To your question on spring rate - it's been too long since I had that setup on a B14 to answer correct. What the interview with Darin from Westend Alignment that @Vadim posted in the last week. Also search on Kojima's suspension write ups. That should get you the info your looking for.

Either run Konis with the GCs or get a set of coilovers. Also get the GC tophats for the front otherwise you will run out of travel. I had a set of AGXs on 325/300 GCs and it was crap. You really need to have a setup with adjustable preload to have good ride quality. If i were you i would stick with what you have and upgrade to Konis when the GR2s fail.
