Center ring to adapt rotors

Hi guys,
Im thinking on doing something crazy with my current brake setup to try to adapt a 300mm rotor, the one i found have a bigger center hub, i want to know what you guys think about using a center ring to fill the gap between the rotor and the hub.

Any thoughts? Comments?

What you're trying to do is perfectly fine. The Fastbrakes kit does the same thing. It isn't just a simple ring though, there is some beveling on one side... But you'll be fine.
